Would it be possible to use psychedelics everyday and evade tolerance by using different ones per day? So say you were using 5 different psychedelics constantly, you would be using each of em once per day.
I don't think it'd be good for your health regardless of tolerance... Why would you even want to take psychedelics daily? Doesn't sound like much fun to me, psychedelics should be taken in moderation... For the past two months or so now i've been tripping weekly, and i can already feel some slight side effects from that, so i can't even imagine tripping every day...
SOme psychedelics may cause pain.. 5-ho-met for example. gives some joint pain, chest pain, tightness of limbs. Sure you can dance it off.. Not if you a cripple. just saying.. Shrooms would be your best bet. Cacti would be my next choice..
Most Psychedelics cause cross tolerance, So it would require you to up the doses significantly to achieve similar effects to the previous day(s). I suspect it simply wouldn't be effective anymore in a much shorter timespan than many other types of drugs.
I dont see why you'd want to do something like that in the first place. I usually have a fairly high dose acid trip once every month or two, and thats easily enough for me. I need the time in between to get my head back together and 'assimilate' what I've learnt from the latest trip. Trip everyday, and I think a lot of the specialness of the experience would wear off too, assuming of course its even possible.
my vote on this matter is no, that would be a wretched idea. Visiting the spirit realm too often/too deeply makes the return journey quite arduous. Travel well good sir, live long and prosper
Anything's possible. Most psychedelics affect the serotonin receptors leaving you not able to trip on similar substances for a couple days... but I'm sure there's plenty of kinds of psychedelics to do it. I have problems just from tripping once-twice a week for several years in a row (anxiety, hallucinations, paranoia, heart problems). Now I only do a few times a year.
Agreed, and I also have the same problem 5HT-2a is the receptor that is usually associated with "psychedelics" and is highly sensitive to repeated use. More so than most dopamine or serotonin receptors. (for instance; coke, meth, mdma will have at least half the effects the next day. Opposed to acid or mushrooms, which will have maybe 1/4 the potency the next day(MMV)) Other drugs that might be mistaken for "psychedelic" like ketamine, pcp, inhalants (toluene), ibogaine, etc. are mediated by other means. These are not conventional psychedelics (thought certainly psychoactive). Which have less of a down-regulation effect. So, depending on your definition of psychedelic the answer varies. Acid, mushrooms, DPT, DMT, 4-AcO-DMT and to a lesser extent 2c-a-z, 2c-t-1-99, mescaline, etc will have a noticable cross tolerance and would make it where you could not "trip" every day. Simple answer is "no". Most psychedelics that you know wouldn't allow you to use them every third day, mush less every day. (thought might work in the beginning, most certainly would not work after a few weeks)
The trips would loose their meaning. It's disrespectful to what psychedelics are, and what they do IMO. When I was younger I tried to do what your suggesting. It works OK for a week or two, but your tolerance will get you.
Oh, that is very subjective. I've seen that working out for some people. Not that I disagree with the example
Ever been tripping on acid and get extremely brain tired? Now increase that by 3 fold every day, and you have: DERP!
edit - sorry for the confusion I was actually referring to euphoriants. I said psychedelics because some at low doses can cause euphoria without any psychedelic effects.
Things like MDMA, MDA, aMT, 6apb abide by the same tolerance issues as psychedelics. However cathinones like Methylone and mephedrone seem to have a faster rebound period. Many people can dose these daily without a significant decline in the quality of effects. I don't know why you'd want to dose these daily either, they can wear on your mind and body really quickly, some of the others which are primarily dopaminergic stimulants like Methamphetamine are notorious for causing significant hallucinations and paranoia with repeated use.
