got BACK ABOUT an hour or 2 ago- -Brought a couple of crates of grapefruits and
oranges- I know its a touristy thing to do- but what the hell* *
Looks like I missed some festivities- -Thats OK-,there will be many more- - I'm kinda shot out- Its really good to be back, but I'm gonna havta crash- I drove the final 4 hours and was starting to get hypnotized by the road- Yeah, the backdoor was open- I couldnt find my key so good thing it was ( I,LL look for the key in the AM)- -I locked the door and snuck upstairs- Hope I didnt wake anyone-
Fruit is on the porch> see youse all in a few hours

Shameless. I am happy to see you still posting. I caught up and read the last several pages. I too am often here when everyone is asleep. So much for conversation. I enjoy reading back and catching up on what everyone had to say and eat while I was sleeping, and listen to the tunes but I am rarely here when most everyone else is. Oh well. I think that Cracker Jack is adorable. Love the picture. :2thumbsup:

I guess I would answer to anything. When I first signed on I tried a few other names but they were already taken. Spectacles was the name of the first dog I had as an adult. I got him as a puppy and he had circles around his eyes that looked like he was wearing glasses.

Actually he was a wedding present to my husband who was terrified of dogs. I knew that I could not live with someone who did not like animals so I gave him a puppy as a wedding present. Then hubby came to love dogs really fast. He had had a bad experience as a child. In any case the marriage did not last but we stayed friends for several years. When I last saw him in the later 70's he had three dogs. Even though the marriage did not last, I always felt that I gave him the love of animals for a lifetime. Not such a bad thing.

When we talked about, or to Spectacles, we called him Specs. In his later years the part of the circles under his eyes sort of faded and so he only had the upper markings. He looked like he was always surprised. And he always had a smile on his face. Specs was a great dog.

Hi Jack! Thanks for the fruit, glad you made it back safely. The coffee was still hot when I got up and was much appreciated.

I've put in a recycling centre in the garden, there's bins for cans, paper, plastic, glass etc. But I would check with Shameless before you throw away any glass jars, she might want them for her preserving.

Hope I didn't wake anyone up moving the bottles and cans about. I tried to be really quiet.

I slept like an ox the first few days I'm in the house now..
it must be the positive attitudes of all the co inhabitants..
or is it the coffee,teas,cakes,fruits???I bet it is..
good idea,still crazy..to put bins for recycling...

I see the night Owls are here..Tiger, Still Crazy, Dancing and Crazy Talk.

I fell asleep on the couch lastnight and dreamt I was sailling on a ship across the ocean.

The coffee taste great.. what beans are they I wonder..

I hope Kenny does not get up with a hangover from that huge Belgian beer I gave him yesterday...
he'll be O.K in a while,in life one has to learn to tolerate certain things..remember,Kenny...
that in this house a lot of different folks are living...with different looks and attitudes at life...
