It is winter here now. I managed to keep my foot bare even for a day of snow! Using crutches with a leg in a non weight bearing plaster cast is something I am used to. My good foot is used to being bare for 90% of the time but I thought I would wear a jandal (flip flop) on it when it snowed. Crutches and snow are a hassle. Crutches, snow and a jandal are worse. I gave up and crutched barefoot in ankle deep snow from my car to the mall entry. That sure got some looks! ow the snow has melted and there is plenty of mud for my bare toes.
i wear shoes in the winter it gets really cold and snowy over here in canada but as soon as it gets warm enough the shoes come off only wear them when i cut the grass
i must take some photos of my soles and feet. i8 have been on vacation this entire week. my sols and feet have been dirty and bare for 7 days. unfortunately, the foot coffins must return since tomorrow is a work day.
oh man, that sucks dude. at least you had a week of shoe freedom. I need to get over to NOLA sometime, been ages
Here is a picture of my feet after a day running around Cairo. The hot surfaces were not bad, I can do the lighter colored concrete even if it has been in the direct sunlight of summer. The dark asphalt was a real problem but in Cairo, there are enough buildings and shadows that it wasn't too bad and I had my flips with me for the rare occasion that I needed them. Great day!
