I was congregating with a friend recently, and the topic of how we've had great success with bacardi 151 proof alcohol and extracting things came up. So naturally, we eventually came up with the idea to save our remaining 14grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 50 hawaiian baby woodrose seeds to make a witch's brew. We're also waiting on about 1000 other hawaiian baby woodrose seeds that are of a bit lower quality than the ones we already have, but they've been pretty consistent in the past. We plan to do the lighter fuel/alcohol method to extract the LSA separately, and eventually infuse it into the 151 proof alcohol with the mushrooms (after everything is definitely evaporated, of course). The final product will be about 10-13 ounces of alcohol in a fancy scotch bottle. Has anybody tried this type of thing before? I'll post updates on how it's going.
The naphtha phase is in progress. I've decided to refrigerate the mushrooms and wait until I can collectively brew them all together. Would you guys recommend doing multiple methanol extraction attempts with the LSA before adding it to the final brew, or would that be pretty unnecessary? I wanted to do the extra work anyways because of the higher proof alcohol and possible higher quality yield. I don't think I need to do a separate extraction of the mushrooms just because the psilocin should be decently soluble in the final liquid.
Ooops, almost forgot. I finished the lighter fluid and the poisonous alcohol phase to reveal the pastey extract. It was similar looking to what I ended up with before, but less solids were left behind because I actually strained it properly this time. Now it is soaking in the 151 proof alcohol with the psilocybin mushrooms. It's looking like a success so far, but I'm not getting less cautious. I'm keeping it in my fridge with a broken light, along with tin foil wrapped around the bottle. Added 2 drops of peppermint extract and a generous pinch of ginger extract for legend/practical purposes. It should be good to go at the end of this week. Will most definitely post results if they are still called for. Take care!
Also created a simple acidic syrian rue extract in a dropper bottle, same style. It's pretty diluted though just to make sure the dosage isn't too high. Plan to sample tonight or tomorrow. I plan to go to the conservation area with a friend and go exploring (possibly see a haunted location too)! I'll tell you how it goes.
And this is just out of boredom and me having watercolour paper. Will post tonight's trip with the extract!
Wow I have never heard of anyone doing this. Props for being original, cant wait to hear if it works or not.
Jesus Christo... This stuff is extremely strong! I feel as though the LSA has degraded slightly over time, but the psilocin ran strong. They sort of complimented each other making things a lot more visually appealing and in depth. The LSA was rather incapacitating though, and I was only able to make it 10 minutes before sprawling around on the grass and watching the starts like they were a firework show twinkling above me. Stars would get pulled into one collective star, then theyd "explode" outwards and twinkle downwards leaving a streak of trails in the sky. Upon inhaling, the stars would collect, and exhaling, they'd explode. It was powerful indeed! I also had lots of inner realizations about who is my friend and who is not. It scared me a little, but I somehow knew I had to keep going on move on with things. I also felt a sense of mental security and calmness that I have never achieved with mushrooms before. Me and my friend only had one brief bout of nausea, but it quickly subsided with distractions. The woods felt alive, and rich with tales and lore. I was picturing trails of people going down the paths over time, like they were the flash going by in light speed. It felt as though I was on a strange dose of LSD that went up and down throughout the night, and I'd feel almost sober every Plateau I hit. This is hands down one of my favorite mixtures, and it almost rivals LSD for me (other than the extreme lethargy, noodle legs and lack of coordination I felt). I defs recommend, but be quick and thorough with your extraction and don't expose it to too much of the elements. Love n light.
Yeah, lethargy is quite a thing with LSA..... Can't fuckin' keep my eyes open. Slept through it a few times.
Interesting, I've yet to try LSA. Been curious about exploring it as I've heard many positive things about it. From what I had read about the nausea and physical effects, mixing it never occurred to me particularly with mushrooms, I may explore that though. I like the descriptions of your trip.
My advice is: Don't get discouraged if you don't like them at first. It could take a few good tries to reach a desired mental state, but it is wonderful in its own right. Can't directly compare it to LSD, but it's more like it than anything else I can describe.
It's fairy concentrated to around half of that now. Perhaps allowing this to happen degraded some of the LSA (even though it occured in a dry, cool and dark environment). The particular sample we took last night was from the bottom of the bottle collected with a Turkey baster.
