I'm in Denver. Idaho Springs is a cool little town. I used to love the bagel shop there, I think its gone now. Edit: There's no shortage of good local beer and pizza in that town.
I'm not particularly close to Idaho Springs, but i do live in the Boise area. If you ever travel by the capitol.
Its right off of 70 heading west out of denver. I live a little further west deeper in the rockies about 45 mins away. There is Tommyknockers brewery. they have really good root beer. I was there about a week and a half ago on a saturday night and noticed the place is over run with cops trying to hand out dui's. be carefull if you go out to a brewery/bar to have safe transportation.
