the blond hair from off the top of my upper lip and now i'm freaking out because i've heard that causes the hair to grow back black. I keep looking in the mirror, like, every 5 seconds to see if it's growing back black but so far i can't see anything. i just got sick to death of plucking, waxing, using hair creams ect. and i had to go out somewhere so i picked up a razor blade and just did it. does anyone have any experience with this or is it just a myth? i don't notice the hair on my legs growing back any different every time i shave them so maybe it's just something someone made up? does anyone have any experience about this? i'm panic stricken. :dizzy2:

That it grows back darker or thicker is an old wives tale that thousands swear by, but I call bullshit.

it's obv not going to grow back black if your hair is blonde.
if it grows back more than normal just wax it next time.

I'm pretty sure they've debunked the theory of the more you shave the thicker it grows. But surprisingly people still believe it and still continue to shave instead of a simple wax strip.

shaving dosnt change the color of hair. unless it turns it gray because thats been my experience.
and the only reason shaved hair will ever seem thicker will be because when it first breaks the skin it is at its smallest point, however the roots are the same size as what will grow in after you shave. you will be in no different shape a few days from now than you were a few days ago.

it's a little known fact that everyone in the world used to be blond. then there was a shaved head fad for a while, and when that ended everyone who had shaved their head suddenly had black hair.

i am a big fan of facial hair on the arms.

The hair isn't fine. I just look like a blond guy who has a mustache.

Simple? I can never get the damn things to work.

    ^ this.

I feel for u though, facial hair doesn't look good on a woman :(. I suppose u could get it removed permanently with a laser treatment.

I have blond body hair, and whenever I've shaved areas it always grew back darker. My armpits, my legs, my groin, I even shaved parts of my eyebrows !
