A day or so after my very first (well first in over a year or two) injection in my forearm I experienced slight pain and a significant degree of swelling. The swelling has gone down but there is a small "hard" area (not rock hard but not very squishy either) right over the vein. Its not red but it is slightly tender to the touch. I don't feel feverish or anything either. Any ideas what this might be?
I have had something slightly like that before, however it goes away very quickly. I think its due to maybe using that spot too much. Some kind of damage in tissue or something.
You either missed some of the shot, or pulled the needle out too fast or not straight. It will go away.
Like you said I think I either irritated the area or pulled the needle out too fast. I didn't get high from the shot because i was already high from eating pills so I only did 15mg. Didn't hurt as it went in.
But I take it you did the shot to get higher right, lol? Others sound like they know whats going on, I'd listen to them. Drs do my neddles, I'll keep it like that, keeps me out of trouble, Good Luck Bro!
this is why I never shoot up, in my penis.. ps: your fit may have a bur on it. take a match striker and glide it over, while putting a spin on the needle .. look at your dagger under a magnifying glass, you can bend the tip by hitting your spoon shit.
That sounds VERY rough, the match striker..... But I agree about the bur. Why not go buy a whole box of brand new syringes? Reusing one at all will cause a LOT more damage. They're designed to go in once, and hardly even that, because they can be made finer and less damaging WITH the concession that they're more delicate-and if you reuse them, they're much MORE damaging.
This was a fresh needle. I don't reuse needles. I asked my dad (who is a doctor) saying it was a "bug bite". He said he has "no idea what bit [me], but don't worry about it."
you can dull the new needle down with match striker too. wet sand it on the striker if the matchbook is too new. (roor).. new one can be to sharp also..
lol wtf? how can it be TOO sharp? I wouldnt fuck with them like that, id just spend the 3 dollars to get 10 new ones.
yes to sharp. I dont want that bitch Jagging thru the other side my vein. I dull my shit.. when shooting numbing agents like cocaine. you better know where its going..
i completely agree with pr0ne how can a needle be to sharp looll. the sharper they are the less of a mark they leave and less prone to bruinsing. i use BD Ultrafine II 1CC Short Tip and i stick that sucka in fast and as long as it goes all the way in my arm i can almost guarantee its in the vien everytime i wouldn't even have to pull back to check if i didn't want to but i do. SHARPER = BETTER And to OP= that hard lump in your arm is a clump of bacteria that will grow in the next 3 days until it will start spidering viens and you will have to go to the hospital and get it surgically removed and you might lose your arm. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
haha nah man just kidding i had that about a week ago it was at the end of like a 3 day binge of speed and coke and morphine and i had 2 full syringes and just as i was laying in bed blasted the first one in and usually never miss but i pulled out a bit and it hurt like a mafuckin mafucker even after i shot it in which usually never happens and i was scared but it goes away
Whatever.. Ive never wrote misinformation before. Why would I start now??. Nor have I ever lost a shot, Or had all this maladies i read here.. takes a professional junkie to live another day. Im living..:seeya: Amateurs..
your new fit can have a spur/ bur on it too.. you can buff it with a dollar bill if you thinks the matchbook is to much.. take the cap/protection off the wrong way can damage a point. do you really know what you are doing? Did you hurt yourself in the same place before? Maybe your hitting a tendon, a muscle .. and when you begin to damage and feel pain in areas. its time to take a step back and think>? Am I doing this right, should I be doing this, is there a better way, should I stop doing this all together, or maybe do it after I heal some. Maybe Im a old head and been around to many shooters. bunch of people in my family are into needlepoint too . and I liked a jolt, a speedball and nod now and then..
Yeah that makes alot of sense haha. Its all good when your doing it but the next day your gonna be sore as a motherfucker. But I hate bruises, and I hate track marks so I try to never use a rig more than a couple times. If you can get in the vein, you can easily get it through it, and its not like you can "feel" it going all the way through. Dull needles are a nightmare But im gonna keep all that in mind orison, I know you are not one to write misinformation. I mean, you have almost been here as long as I have!
