How many US and NATO bases in Turkey? How many men and planes and missile batteries stationed there? Plus US, UK, French and NATO fleets in the med watching the Russians bring more arms to Syria.

Lebanon close to civil war too.

Israel very tense atm trading attacks with Hamas and Al-Qaeda in the Sinai.

Saudis ship more weapons to Syrian opposition.

Chinese and Iranian fleets heading to Syria.

Now I gotta go look up revelations again... ;)

Can't recall EVER seeing so many countries "up in arms" to deal with one country's "internal" problems.

It's like this is the setting for the next world war that will involve all the leading powers.

And with the US supposed to be pulling out of the region (haha, another big LIE), they're screaming for action before they no longer have Iran and Pakistan surrounded.

I looked it up, there's two US bases in Turkey, one just 100 miles from several major Syrian cities. That's a big base that has been involved in a lot of action in the Mideast. The US wouldn't even need to put planes in the air to attack Syria from there. But whatever the US and NATO have in terms of arms, the Syrians now have counter measures and the huge stockpile of chemical weapons. They really don't even need the Russians to defend them only to finish up training them on the latest Russian weapons.

The tensions are certainly escalating in the region . And I believe you're right Skip a global conflict could well be on the horizon . What's interesting is this situation is getting little attention from the mass media propaganda machine outlets . While I don't watch much of it, the little I have only talked about Russian ships on the way to Syria not the twelve Chinese ships being dispatched . And I thought I wonder why ? China is sending a VERY clear message to the world that they have never done before . Participating in war games with what could be seen emerging by the West as the new axis of evil . Seems to me China has a lot to lose economically getting involved against the West with a show of force and rising tensions. I believe Syria is a dumping ground for w.m.d. and could be very dangerous if all out civil war breaks out and they fall into wrong hands . But with two superpowers arming and backing opposite sides the death toll will rise .

Tomorrow is a key alliance N.A.T.O. meeting with Turkey , who is envoking their n.a.t.o. pact . Which means all N.A.T.O.member nations must come to Turkey's aid . Should the vote be blocked I can't imagine Turkey participating in any further actions against Syria . Which is why I'm sure it will go through . Because without Turkey A border nation and possible staging / launching area and airfields the job would be much , much harder .

It's been reported now that the f4 phantom was indeed inside syrian airspace . However Turkey is claiming that the f4 was fired on after the jet left syrian airspace . And I bet it was a Russian made s.a.m. that brought it down . I think their claiming the pilot was in error . Was it however a provocative act intended to draw fire ? Or testing the Syrian early warning air defense capabilities ? Perhaps because their being armed faster then intel. can keep up with ?I'm not sure but if the f4 was on a reconnaissance mission , why would it need to be so low ? With todays photo capabilities . The f4 set altitude records and can do mach 2 . If Turkey uses the older f4 still as in intercepter / bomber or more for recon. today i'm not sure . But I would bet it was no "error" . Could we now be witnessing the first shots of ww3 ?

And to couple all this with the possible Israel , Iran hit it's getting worse and worse .

It's just been revealed the Russians have been conducting WAR GAMES against the US, esp. Alaska and the Pacific. Nothing to worry about just a bunch of Russian nuclear bombers and MIG 31 fighters in attack formations heading towards the US (with no advance notice apparently), all happening while Obama was meeting with Putin.

The Russians simulated attacking US bases and oil pipelines with nuclear and conventional weapons. US and Canadian fighters countered the Russian moves and met them at the US and Canadian borders.

So don't worry, nothing to see here folks, it's not December yet, right?

Isn't it wonderful watching the world's most powerful and corrupt politicians posing for the biggest dick contest?

Can't see how any really stand to profit except arms merchants for a short while...

I wonder if Putin's actions are what is really staying Obama's hand in Syria. Looks to me Putin is ready for the full monty over Syria.

Calling all this a powder keg doesn't do it justice.

Maybe it's just time for humanity to self-delete.

What the mind can deceive, man can achieve.
