"On Thursday, July 5, 2012, around 6:50 p.m. local time, a mysterious red rain shower fell for about 15 minutes in Kannur, Kerala, India. Locales within a one kilometer area in the Indian state of Kerala experienced this phenomenon, as it filled courtyards with blood red rain and stained people's clothes pink." Two scientists, Godfrey Louis, Ph.D. and Santhosh Kumar of the Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, proposed a controversial hypothesis, "The mysterious red color in the rain is caused by unidentified life form that does not have DNA." "In August 2008, they presented their case at an astrobiology conference: "The red cells found in the red rain in Kerala, India are now considered as a possible case of extraterrestrial life form. The molecular composition of these cells is yet to be identified." However, Louis and Kumar have not yet been explained how dust from a meteor could continue to fall over the same area - despite changing climatic conditions and wind patterns - for not only a couple of months, but for more than a decade." So, it's probably not extraterrestrial after all. Perhaps they need Harold in the research as well, he's much smarter than Kumar
This reminds me of a crappy Dean koontz novel I read once. In the novel a superior alien life first sent down seeds from the plants on their planet in the form of rain to make earth habitable for all the creatures of their planet Probably not what's happening here but it is indeed very bizarre
[sarcasm] It's perfectly normal, climate change can't happen. Blood does not fall from the sky. It didn't happen, nothing to see here, move along please. [/sarcasm]
According to a book I read called Mysteries of the Unexplained by Caroll C. Calkins, this is not at all the first time this has happened.
The red rain is a result of India chasing profits over the environment: Pollution Causes Rain Red In India
Bhopal rain? Being india, I think it's pretty safe to say they have every industrial toxin known to man, and some not known, in their rain.
I found the article linked in a youtube broadcast. I believe they mentioned that it had happened in this same location multiple times.
