My name is Emma and I study peace building and conflict management and educational sciences. I'm looking for a community I could join for around 6 months starting from January 2013, preferably in Asia, but I'm open to any suggestions really I will have some time off before I continue to my masters degree and would love to experience the communal style of living. I'm willing to contribute my working and helping out any way I can - I don't have a lot of money because I'm a student, so I would basically need a place where I could pay my living by working etc. I'm very handy and can do a lot of different things. I come from the countryside so I know how to garden, cook, take care of animals etc. I have worked in customer service so that would be fine too. I love singing and handicrafts, long conversations and loving people. I would appreciate any help or tips! Thank you and it is good to be a part of this community now. Peace<3 -Emma

Hi there, it's really nice to meet your ... you have some awesome interests and goals, so all positive vibrations your way.
Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes! I did some research and have decided to go travelling around South-East Asia instead for a few months, but I'd love to hear about hippie communities in India, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Laos and Indonesia. Once I move to Sweden for my masters studies after that, I'm going to try to find a communal living solution near Uppsala So thank you all very much for your welcomes, good vibrations and all<3 Lindsay Elizabeth: There's no idiomatic way to say "make love not war" in Finnish and if I translate it it just sounds funny We tend to use the English frase... but in Finnish we say "rauhaa ja rakkautta" (peace and love) a lot So, rauhaa ja rakkautta to everyone!
