It's possible to change this world! We all have our music that is sacred to us.. It's an escapism for our minds to go and make sense of the entirety of our lives. It's time to communicate through your music, wisdom, and stories.s. I am like a kite right now. :indian_chief:
One of my sacred albums is by Van Morrison. It's called "No Guru,No Method,No Teacher.I think I got it when I was about 16 - so considering I'm 40 now, this album has been in my life a long time. It's a very deep, mystical and pastoral sounding piece of work.I will never tire of it.Thanks IamImaginary for this nice thread!
Well here is one to get you going. Let's all change the world. Youtube:John Lennon - Give Peace a Chance I wish I were like a kite. But I tend to feel more like the string.
Today this song is. Tomorrow it'll probably be something different. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWsuVuw5JO4"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWsuVuw5JO4

No Alarms and No Surprises Please. Youtube:Radiohead - No Surprises I was in a very dark spot once. And long story short: I woke up on my bathroom floor with a shower curtain rod hanging from a leather belt around my neck and this song on loop. Music will always be my medication. And I know that I'm not alone in a world when I can listen to a song and feel home again.(Whatever home is.)
Bright Eyes - Let's Not Shit Ourselves I'm not sure that most or even any of you have heard of Bright Eyes. If you have then cheers to you, if not then it's time to introduce. If you are for freedom of expression without limitation, anti-idiocracy, open-mindedness, and find the correlation between you, your emotions, and others. I would like to deliver unto you, a man that has broadened my mind and greatly influenced who I have grown to be since the age of eleven, when I got his first Record. And I've listened to him ever since, with age comes more appreciation and understanding of his lyrical genius. If you don't like his voice then just read his lyrics. If you won't do that then I honestly don't give a shit.

Elliott Smith's 'Oh Well, Okay' I knew a girl. The first time I felt true love for someone. We had our arguments and we got through them. We broke up, got back together. Then we broke up for good. I listened to it, got high, cut myself, cried.. I listened to that song during all this. It made me sadder, I still miss her. The line that always got me was, "If you get a feeling the next time you see me, do me a favor and let me know."
