Weird Noises in Friend's House

My friend's house has a lot of odd activity occurring in it lately. Not sure if it's supernatural or not, but indeed strange. It IS an old house turned into duplex though, so some things can be explained, but what freaks me out is all the stories of people lining up.

About a month ago, we were sitting in the living room, about 3 of us on the couch. I was leaning forward reaching for something on the couch, and 2 of my friends were leaning back. I heard a "REEEEEEEEEEE" (very raspy and silly sounding) directly behind my head as though one of my two friends were doing it. I look back to them smiling at me like "What the hell was that noise man haha?" and I go "What, thought it was you?" then we all had a creeped out face on cause it felt like it was one of us, and it wasn't coming from the wall, it was as though the maker of the noise was sitting on the couch with us! My friends girlfriend who was sitting near the couch also asked who made the weird "REEE" noise, that confirmed our freakedoutness!

Later that night I was attempting to sleep on the couch in the living room and everyone else had retired to bed. I was extremely bored and couldn't sleep, watching TV (yuck)! I was facing the hallway, when I heard the two footsteps in the hallway. This particular area sounds hollow underneith, and it makes a distinct CREEK CREEK. I see a tall figure with long hair walk directly past it, not paying mind to anything else. I tried to say "Hey, yo!" cause I was excited somebody was awake. I quickly jumped up and got into the hallway. Nobody was in that section of the house upon searching. I slowly returned back to the couch and started into that doorway for multiple hours until i could sleep. I wasn't exactly frightened cause it seemed to be minding its own business, but I cannot explain what the hell that was!

Recently, I was talking to his sister who doesn't live there anymore. She was explaining that she thinks the place is haunted because she keeps hearing "REEEECH, REEEEECH" behind her head when she sits on that couch. She said she felt insane for telling me that and didn't expect it to make sense. I told her we had the same experience, and that it was freaky she would say that.

Well, 2 days ago, I was speaking to her even younger sister who is 8 years old. She was explaining that the house was haunted to me. She was saying a bit unbelievable stories like her waking dreams with her toybox opening, and her windows opening and closing. She also described a figure that creaks those floorboards on the floor, which seems legit. I don't know her to really lie about real life things, but you never know... What really got me, is she explained that the couch she kept hearing a person say "screeech or reeeeeach or reeeeeeec". I was like MY GOODNESS this place is haunted!

Sorry for long post, bored. Hope you like my creepy stories! I really want to do a seance in this house. The spirits seem neutral, good even and probably have a message to convey if they are indeed spirits and they are indeed attempting to say something to people who sit on the couch. What do you guys think?

 

Get a voice recorder and ask questions. The only paranormal thing that happened to me was when I was living in an apartment building built in 1880, that was once an old hotel. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a man with a big brimmed hat and a 1930s style suit standing in my bedroom doorway, he just turned around and walked off, but I had this strange feeling he was following my girlfriend. Fivr mintues later my girlfriend is sitting next to me, I wake up very quickly, sat up and say "did you see that?" It was weird, but I think I did see something.

 

Hey Colimon! First, please, please whatever you do - do NOT do a seance. And for God's sake, don't get a freakin' ouija board and start messing with that.

Everything you have said sounds legit...and when you told that the 8 yr old was "explaining" things...well, that really made it legit for me. Children are sort of natural mediums, if you will.

With it being an old house, this house has probably been through a LOT of activity (life and death). Do you know anything about ley lines? If you ever see geese (or other larger migrations of birds) migrate over that house, it could very likely be on a ley line...and for many, many years "power sites" (meaning strange things can also happen there) are known to be on ley lines.

Hmmmm, I guess that could be open for investigation. Good advice on the ouija board thing, I don't bother with those. I also don't bother with evil, we have an agreement to keep a certain distance from each other. I don't really sense anythings evil about it anywho, so I don't see a problem attempting contact if it's by safe means. I'll try and see if there are any other strange phenomena going on in and around the house. Thanks for the posts guys, I wonder if we can figure out what this mysterious presence wants! It could possibly be their father trying to tell them something, but who knows it could be anything in an old house. A "cold spot", a portal, a haunting from long ago, residual energies etc.
