This song was playing when I found myself at a strangers house in Hawaii exactly when I 1st came on to windowpane,1969. What a memory. Everyone else had gone somewhere outside and I was alone when it came on. Spoooooooooky!!
I'm glad you linked the full version... This is one of my most memorable songs too... Still love it today!
:sunny:Just listened to it. This song stands up even now. Even tho I was 28 when I did that 1st trip--I can see why I was spooked out being by myself!! Good stuff. Almost got a contact high off the screen!!
I listened to a 25 minute long live version they did in 1971, today... Trippy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAnLHdr5Y74"]In A Gadda Da Vida
All time classic. I run first press US vinyl records of this (Studio & Live versions). Ooh yeah .... The Simpsons episode 'Bart Sells His Soul' with it substitute for a hymn is killer. The thread title is mis-spelled if someone has access to fix it. (The title to the Live link at post #5 is the right spelling.)
.....I clicked play and went to another tab.... thought it would be a normal 3 min song, or whatever...... It's time for bed, and it's not over...
There is a short version they released as a single. It gives you a snippet taster but the full length is the way to g .. o .. Actually the Studio version was recorded live in one take so the single is a cut down version.
Haha same thing happened here, i clicked play then started talking to people on msn, and i forgot i was even listening to a video posted on here, then finally i was like "wait, where is this music even coming from?! *looks through all my tabs*" lol
