There are two things of consequence here: history repeats itself and only the names change, and the worst thing a government can have is a large population of unemployed young people. Bearing those two things in mind, why does every protest movement lose steam? With so many people with so much time on their hands, disappointed with the government, eager to change something, why don't they try? Everyone gets so close, then they just abandon it. If history repeats itself (and not in large intervals of time, I might add), will there be some kind of big social movement any time soon that will actually last for several years and get something done? Just looking for some answers here, because I have far too many questions and essentially nobody to talk to.
I think a huge piece of the population is "sedated" by drugs, alcohol, apathy, t.v., video games, social media, etc...
