It really depends, my area has a high income disparity. My one bedroom house is $465/mo.

Converted to USD, $315/month. One bedroom apt/house, concrete, ie mozzy-proof, in rent is included water, electricity, hot shower (sounds basic, but it's not, around here), wifi, everything basically, and we have an incredible ocean sunset view from our large balcony.. I share that with my gf, so I pay half of $315/mo.. it's pretty much the best housing deal I've ever had.

Wow, that's incredible. Really incredible. In New Jersey you're paying at least $900 for a two bedroom apartment... and not by the shore either. Any less than that and generally you end up with shit or in a bad area. In Camden you can get real cheap - but then again you risk getting shot every day/night.
