My girlfriend and I have started the backcomb/wax method on my hair about a month ago (July 4) and we just want some tips about the ends (Tips/Roots).

All personal preference. I don't dig the nub ends so mine are all whispy and un-dreaded on the ends.

If you want nubby ends then you can roll then ends into little balls. Just knot them up really good by rolling them around with your fingers and stuff...once theyre knotted up leave them alone to dread on their own.
Do you play electric instruments in your kitchen often?

mine are all wispy and loose :)

you can also rub each dread end in a circular motion against the palm of your hand to get knots
