The after life intrigues me, and I would like to known as much as possible about it. And please, if you use a bible verse, copy the text (most of us don't have the bible memorized )
I think it depends on who you are asking. For example, one might say it is known there are pearly gates at the entrance while the other thinks it surely must be a personal paradise where you meet your loved ones. And perhaps it is like a cosmic ocean of souls where your abstract self falls into as a drop. My opinion: nothing is known about the heavens, it is a personal conviction how you picture it. Perhaps the afterlife conforms to a persons individual visualization of it.
Chocolate waterfalls millions of dead goldfish angels clouds, harps and a guy with a beard passing out toys.
I cant quote you chapter and verse , but in the Christian Heaven , theres no pain , or sickness , or death...you are raised with a perfect body. Its a paradise where you dwell with God in peace and happiness. In MY version of Heaven , its a place where one learns and rests for a spell before coming back here to live again.
naw, you aint gonna care about all that shit.... .... a few tokes 'o gods stash 'n you'll just wanna chillax...:sifone:
I don't think you worry about diversity, pot or competition in heaven. But yeah, I don't picture it as a perfect copy of the physical world.
Probably more like this Les like this I am looking for verses that describe the heavenly sacrifices of Christ. I do know that the general idea that it will be all light and fluffy and nice is wrong. A lot more worship of God than reunion with those who have died that we loved. For an interesting metaphor of heaven, read CS Lewis' The Great Divorce.
A Couple of things that I know the Bible says about the heavens.. 1. No human can see God and live 2. there are 100 million angels ministering to god to complete his will 3. Jesus is now enthroned as the King of Heaven and Earth 4. Satan and his Demons (all former angels) have been cast to earth and are here now influencing mankind to their destruction.
