i think with the texture of your hair and its natural style its obvious that u would have very easily had natural dreadlocks, u kept them separate and nicely sized naturally with your hands and to me that is still natural dreadlocks!

Oh yes, let's have a "define natural" argument, (again)

They're looking good op, starting to get a bit more length now, huh?

I was just speaking generally, wasn't directed at anyone in particular.

Ya, I should have just said 'from the beginning' instead of 'when he started them'.

Rudenoodle was just living up to his handle.

My dread process to clarify for those who need it:

14 months grew my har from a fade(really short haircut) to an afro.
1-7 months no wax, no backcombing, no combing,hing...
8-9 months pulled apart, by hand, a couple of extreme congos in the back that I felt need separation.
10-28+ months As I see fit I pull apart some of the "spider webs/cob webs" between the locks to prevent congos from forming. If you have dreads you know what Im referring to...

All the sectioning as you can see from my vids was done naturally without interference from me aside from the two extreme congos.

I'll be posting a new video 32 months or so in November once I get out of China(western"social sites, FB twitter youtube, are blocked here in China, hence no new vids)

It was nothing really compared to living in China for almost two years... I got a lot of "Hey! Long hair!" and smiles, giggles , and pointing. Oh and I really couldn't walk 3 feet without someone offering to sell me weed. China has been horrible for having dreads/beard...It's such a weird country, "backwards" even to the "West". From what I can see the more "feminine" the man can be the better... facial hair is frowned upon, it's viewed as dirty/unclean/lower status. Men walk around with finger nails longer then most women and carrying purses. Both sexes walk around weather its raining or not carrying umbrellas to prevent themselves from getting any bit of a tan on them. They view brown/tanned skin as a sign of being in a lower cast and are extremely racist towards Black, Africans....Ops sorry got a bit side tracked, I could go on about my 2 years in China but that should be done in a different thread....

Back to the dreads, I've had random people, young and old, come up to me and just pull on my hair. They don't even say hi hello, excuse me... they just come up and give it a tug. Even after an evil eye from me i had a couple old ladies continue to pul as if i was ok with it...

Dreads in Nam was received a lot better then here in China. At least in Nam they know who fucking Bob Marley is!!! In China I have lost count of the number of Chinese that I have introduced Bob to... Fucking Chinese censorship

Naw, I guess China's firewall doesn't know about his free speech site. They block, facebook, you tube, twitter(I think, I don't use that shit), a lot of various blog sites...and from time to time I cant even get on google.com Hell I can't even easily find a list of sites blocked in China without getting blocked. In short, all the fun ones, aside from hipforums.com are blocked.
