Hey, i got a serious question. I live in PA, and i just happened to find a clinic in the michigan area with a good doctor. so my question is if i go to michigan and get a script for pain meds, how would i go about filling the script. being from PA, do i even have a chance of any pharamacys in the area filling it. I know i have a less chance if i bring the script back to PA because no one will fill it if its out of state. can someone give me some helpful insight on what i should do so i dont waste a drive and money. please help.

if they need a state id
might not work unless you have property
or say your living with someone there and get a state id there
i dont know what the laws are like in either of them states
but its strict in kentucky anymore cause of all the florida crap
    and illegal distributers here

ya brainpain, i hear you. im a little confused on what to do. getting a script is basiclly worthless if i cant fill it. i also have read off tons of state with roxy shortages... so if people that have doctors within their state cant get their meds, i'll for sure have a hard time getting them being out of state. I dont want to pay 200 for my visit and than get my script just to not be able to get it filled. i was thinking of going into a smaller pharamacy, not any big chains like cvs or walgreens. i was just going to say i have been living with a friend and dont have an idea. i dont know if i would be able to get a state id and make it to my visit the same day.

You need to find someone (or even a phone directory?) and have an address in the state where you are going to see the doctor. Did you tell the doctor your address in the state where you live? Some doctor offices fill prescriptions there in-house. That will be your best bet. If they don't fill them in-house and you gave that doctor your current address, I'd say you're screwed, and they just gave you an appointment so they could get your money.

Why not call them up and ask before the appointment where you could get your script filled since you are coming from out of state? Surely you are not the first person to go to them. And IF they want to know why you are coming to this state, hell, tell them your mother or sister or somebody in your family has a doctor in that town...do some research and LIE. lol

I'm about the most honest person you'll ever find...I cannot believe I'm telling you this. It's the alcohol talking. :mickey:

thanks lynnbrown. i appreciate you being honest. and im sure you know what kind of doctor im going to see. They do know that im coming from PA. and yes im not the only one who has been their out of state. Im going to ask them of any pharamacys that that might fill my script even though being out of state. I dont think the have the the on site pharamacy unfortunately, other wise i would be so happy. I was just going to say i have been staying with a friend and receive treatment back home and couldnt get my meds. I have heard that some places fill out of state. But its going to be even harder that im only 22 and will have a script of strong narcotics..

haha, i dont know about bringing it back here. i dont want to waste time calling pharmacys out here. id sound stupid. "O hi, do you take out of state scripts. say they say yes. O so you can fill 90 roxy 30s." ya right. i just dont want to drive and get the script just to drive all around trying to fill it. but that is probably going to be the only option.

maybe you could call some local pharms in michigan beforehand and ask them about your situation. see if they can fill your script before you make the drive out there.

hey.. im actually starting to second guess this clinic. Can someone give me some more advice. I live in PA, and the clinic i have been talking to is in michigan. They are cash only, they take no insurance. And there was not a single question asked to why i was coming from PA which im pretty sure most clinics would ask why are you coming all the way out here? I dont want to ask them on the phone if its what i think it is. They all so told me there is a pharamacy that takes all their patients regardless of the state their from which makes me think its the kind of place i think it is.

thats what i am thinking brady, its just i didnt want to straight up ask her well hey will i get my medications. I talked to them yesterday and i talked to the lady about getting my meds filled, keep in mind she has never even met me. She was like well you can either pay in cash to our pharamacy and she said all of their patients get taken care of it this pharamacy even if your out of state. Which was weird because they havent ever met me or heard what my problems are. Than toady i called and i asked i was like will i get the same medications that im getting back home there, and she said she couldent answer that. She said she doesnt know if the doctor will write anything. The visit is 250 dollars and i looked up my doctor and he has had a prevouis sanction. It didnt say for what. Yesterday the lady even asked well are you coming from ohio? Which is weird what pain clinic ask if you are coming from another state normally. I am scared to drive out here and spend 250 and it not be what kind of clinic i think it is. anyone else have any advice. i dont know of any normal clinics that dont take insurance and out of state customers.

In FL you can't even fill your prescription if you don't live in the same county that the doctor AND pharmacy is in.

And it's impossible to find Oxycodone 30mg in FL pharmacies anymore.

That sounds like a pretty cool situation, just be careful...the cool cash only docs and the mom n pop pharms that are filling TONS of CII meds are the ones that the DEA watches and eventually shuts down.

ya feelings of u4ia back, i hear that. but honestly im just afraid of going out there. I receive meds through my clinic back home. but only have a months supply. I will be staying with a friend in that area for a few months. Im afraid im going to pay 250 for a visit and not receieve my meds. What is the chance of this actually being a mill? I only have read of cash only clinics and normally they are mills. They also didnt ask why i was coming from a different state. She didnt tell me any kind of treatment that i would receive for the visit she just gave me info when i asked where i could fill my script. This doctor is in his 60's also. Do you think its a mill?
