http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...b-marley-reincarnated-video-article-1.1126235 So apparently Snoop took a trip to Jamaica and was told that he is the reincarnation of Bob Marley, so he changed his name and is now making reggae music. As far as I'm concerned, more power to him as long as he makes good music. He's doing it for a good reason although claiming to be Bob Marley reincarnated is a bit out there. Thoughts?

um... Snoop was born 10 years before Bob Marley died. Reincarnation don't work that way, as far as I know, lol. /must be some good smoke in Jamaica!
idk man, if Snoop feels right about this then that's cool i guess, but it's dumb to go around claiming to be the reincarnation of someone as amazing as Bob Marley. reminds me of the episode of the simpsons where Homer thought he was the messiah.
I don't think he seriously proclaims to be the reincarnation of Bob Marley guys. I watched that quote of him in that press conference video where he doesn't sound to mean it literally to me and the only time it is mentioned somewhere else is in the title of the article... Not a bad start at all, I welcome his change :2thumbsup:
I feel like it's the beginning of a rough transition. The song seems very much to me like snoop dogg trying to make reggae music, but instead just kind of rapping in a not so different style, and just using an accent to try and make it sound reggae, along with the reggae beat. I like that he's trying to have a good message, but he could just as easily do that with his rap, instead of trying to change his whole style.
Snoop Lion, Bob Marley you are NOT!!! I just can't see the Jamaican people embracing this concept. Bob Marley is like a god to a great many Jamaicans. I've been to the island very many times and I have spent a good deal of time in Jamaican homes.....the norm is to have a shrine in a prominent place in their homes dedicated to the memory of Bob Marley. Very cool culture and vibes. I think this whole episode with Snoop Whoever makes him look rather foolish.
i can't tell if he's sincere or just trying to grab a new market. i mean, he is quite the entrepreneur.
