This weekend a friend of mine went to see Thievery Corporation at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. He ate a chocolate with supposedly 2g mush that he had saved from seeing Phish at the Gorge a year ago. The chocolate left him feeling ill..and he didn't want to puke in the middle of the crowd so he just went with the stomach ache until after the show. He had traveled across multiple states and was unfamiliar with the area..and after the show got back on the road with his friends to come home. He laid in the backseat swooning between sleep and being awake and began to have visions in these moments between wakeful awareness. One of these visions was a flash of light which blazed across his inner-sight..taking the shape of an illuminated pyramid and fading away. He has been suspicious of this symbol for many many years now..after realizing it adorns the organizations of very evil men worldwide. He is curious as to what this vision could have meant. After this he realized he could control the way he would slip into this awareness at will..and after seeing the pyramid he willingly went back into it many more times and became convinced that he could manipulate light..claiming to have turned a blue light in his eyes to white. At one point he also felt as if his mind had sort of penetrated this "otherspace"..but as soon as he sensed it he snapped back out of it. I have no advice for him because I don't know what any of that meant...except that the illuminated pyramid carries negative connotations for him...and he is very confused now after seeing it in what he truly believes was a vision.
Symbols are pictograms we assign meaning to. It is important to note context. "Bad people symbol" (unless you are a neonazi): "Good people symbol" (unless you consider this Satan's trickery) Now consider your pyramid. "bad pyramid" "good pyramid" Remember that what we are discussing is nothing but a mathematical construction, a type of shape. It is only a way for stuff to be arranged at its most basic and abstract level. That your friend perceives gloom and doom at being shown a possible shape in this universe during a psychedelic trip, tells me maybe your friend should lay off the illuminati stuff, or whereever he is getting these negative connotations about shapes from. "My cousin died falling down a well, which had a circular opening, and so since then I am filled with disgust when I look at the sun, or my lover's vaginal cannal, or the wheels on cars." Do you see where I'm going with this ridiculous example? Also the order of meaning is so important here. Your friend thinks: Universe -> evil men -> shapes -> pyramid -> evil men own pyramid shape But it's really Universe -> shapes -> pyramid -> evil men -> evil men decide to use pyramid as symbol (could have been anything really) You see? The pyramid existed aeons before there was even carbon in this solar system with which to fashion the earth, primordial life, homo erectus, homo sapiens, illuminati . . . . . Don't conflate the two, even subconsciously! The mushroom shows you pure universal data, but your mind with its assumptions and theories colors some of them negatively
this is what he wondered...it has him reevaluating what he thought he knew. have you any insight into what it could have meant? the mushrooms have never shown him anything like that. regardless of any personally negative connotation...it definitely was a pyramid with a shining capstone.
thanks for spittin' knowledge, writer. do you know the significance of those 4 dots? and i said "o rly?" because i find it hard to believe that "the pyramid" is older than the carbon in our solar system.
