I get a little tingle out of it, but I am a history freak so it could be that. Regardless it is an amazingly beautiful piece.
It is "rape" in the old-fashioned sense, carrying someone off, not forcible penetration. Not that that's good either, but keep in mind, the statue depicts mythological characters, not real people. In the myth, Pluto abducted Proserpine to marry her and live in the underworld. Jupiter forced Pluto to free Proserpine, but she had to live 3 months each year in the Underworld, which is the origin of winter. Anyway, check out Wikipedia on it, there's a bit more to it than that. But the point is, it is a sculptural rendition of a Greek myth. Oh, and it still isn't hot. It's beautiful artwork. That's it.
Call it "the kidnap of Proserpine" or "Proserpin'e abduction". It doesn't matter. If it's against someone's will, it isn't hot. Great art, yes. Sexually stimulating, never.
