2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
3.Do you notice any difference between you and the society?
4.Do Hippies have their own language/words?
5.How can you recognise a Hippie?
6.What does a normal day look like?
7.Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?
8.Is there anything else that you think we need to know?

1.How did you became a Hippie?
It's a mixture of Tye dye and photosynthesis.

2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
It means nothing. I don't do much with labels like that.

    3.
Do you notice any difference between you and the society?

Yeah, we all have a green tinge to our skin that is only noticeable when we're hugging trees or humping body parts.

    4.
Do Hippies have their own language/words?

What? You make us sound like a pack of dogs..

    5.
How can you recognize a Hippie?

You don't. Because it's rude to stare. Especially if you're going to judge someone so blatantly as to put a label to they're style.

    6.
What does a normal day look like?

    Uhm... :sifone::sifone:

    7.
Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?

Well if I didn't before, now I do. You guys aren't too shy about putting people in boxes.

    8.
Is there anything else that you think we need to know?
Yeah.. but.. that would take WAY to long to type...

1.How did you became a Hippie?
Just came to me through common interest

2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
Just a laid back person who enjoys every bit of life and looks on the brighter side of things.

3.Do you notice any difference between you and the society?
I am more at peace with myself rather than others.

4.Do Hippies have their own language/words?
No, we are just regular people with more open minds.

5.How can you recognise a Hippie?
Hippies come in all shapes and sizes everyone is different.

6.What does a normal day look like?
Well it depends, For me smoking weed and trying new hallucinogens also just hanging out and relaxing.

7.Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?
Yes, but i really do not care if people judge me its their own mind not mine.

8.Is there anything else that you think we need to know?

Being a Hippie is more of a way of life and a life that not everyone can understand.

1.How did you became a Hippie?
Well, there's not really a way to answer that. I was born with hippie ideals, and it wasn't until later in life that I realized I was a hippie.

2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
To be a hippie, in my opinion, is to support the counter culture that developed in the 1960's. What was "Radical" ideologies about government, civil rights, free love and, one's right to express themselves however one pleases.

3.Do you notice any difference between you and the society?
This is an odd question. Being that the word "Society" is a large group of vastly different individuals, of which hippies (free thinking individuals,) are a part of. So, no! I meet hippie friends all the time, who are also members of society, so I'm not "left out" in any way.

    4.
Do Hippies have their own language/words?

In the 60's hippies used words like "Dig, Crazy, psychedelic," and, others. But today there is no specific lingo, or it varies from place-to-place.

    5.
How can you recognise a Hippie?

You really can't. Some hippies (like me) wear Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and, The Rolling Stones shirts/hats. But hippies like me are few and far between, and not everyone wearing a pink floyd shirt, or a hemp necklace is a genuine hippie.

6.What does a normal day look like?
I buy and sell stuff online, Smoke weed, write poetry, make hemp necklaces, and, what-have-you. Really a lot of different stuff. But I'm always listening to music.

    7.
Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?

I'm sure people do. However, I don't care in the least. I live for my own happiness and furthering my own understanding of the world. I feel as though it would be more inappropriate, to give my life away for the (alleged) betterment of society, when we all see how that's going.

8.Is there anything else that you think we need to know?
Being a hippie isn't something you can brand. You probably encounter more hippies on a daily basis, and don't even realize. It's not something that's black-and-white. It's an idea for the actual betterment of society.

1.How did you became a Hippie?
In college, I started meeting people who shared my values/world view - turns out they were hippies. I don't know that it was as much a process of becoming a hippie, as it was a process of recognizing that I shared a view of the world with people who were identified, or identified themselves, as hippies.

2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
It means that my eyes and mind are open - that I'm not willing to accept the way things are (especially when they could be vastly improved), just because that's the way we have always done it. It means caring about the fate of the planet.

3.Do you notice any difference between you and the society?
I feel awake, sometimes painfully, while society sleeps or goes through the motions.

4.Do Hippies have their own language/words?
Yes, and they are frequently adopted by mainstream society.

5.How can you recognise a Hippie?
Some hippies express their identities through their appearance, but the only reliable way to recognize a hippie is to have a conversation with him/her.

6.What does a normal day look like?
    There's no such thing.

7.Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?
In the U.S., and I suspect many other places, hippies are regarded as lazy, decadent, drug using, navel-gazers. It's a misconception. Some of the hardest working and responsible people I know are hippies. I think this misconception comes from a deep seeded frustration in many people who recognize that there is something unnatural, dissatisfying and anti-human with the status quo - the frustration/anger itself stems from a kind envy for those brave enough to seek an alternative lifestyle.

8.Is there anything else that you think we need to know?
Throughout human history there have been "hippies", progressive thinkers. We are the harbingers of progress and social evolution - that's a tremendously important and necessary role in society.
