So, according to ayurvedic medicine, I have a pitta body type, which means my body temperature is always warm, i sweat a lot, turn red, get anxous etc...

It's been said that you can change this by changing your diet. I'll admit that I have a pretty unhealthy diet for the most part. Ive done a lot of research on which foods to eat and which foods to avoid. I really want to start this diet to see if it helps becuse this is quite irritating. Everyone around me is always cold and saying the temperature is fine and there I am sweating, feeling like its 120 fucken degrees. Does anyone have any type of experience with this? Any advice? Any help will be appreciated.

Most of the time all the liquids my body gets is mountain dew..lol.. which is really bad. as 4 the anxous pat take xanex or valium i kow that will help...lol.. :)

I have been drinking a lot of water lately but my body gets so hot water doesnt really do anything. And I dont wanna be prescribed xanax or anything, that will only mask it, not cure it :daisy:

Im more concerned about the body temp/diet part though.

That ought to do it, unless it's really hot weather, then I'd kick it up a bottle or two.

Have you ever checked your temperature when you feel warm? I used to run about a degree above normal. I'm kind of cooling down some now, though. If you are a little warm, maybe it's some kind of lingering, mild infection somewhere.

I have been like this as long as i can remember. I think it may be a combination of my pitta body type, anxiety, stress, hormones etc..

I think I need to change my diet, do a little yoga and exercising and see what happens

Same thing here. I'd really like to get rid of it. Lot of water and cool room helps, but when I go out to the city from my forest area it is horrible.

My diet is awfull, well, non-existant. My eating habits are... I don't actually have any eating habits :D And I drink a lot water/tea and eat spicy food...

Could be just because you're anxious. I used to be the way you describe when I was your age, too, especially when I would be away from my comfort zone.

Diet can always help. Since I've lost weight and gotten into shape, it's helped a lot with that. Try cutting out some of the sugar and processed stuff.

You're going to hate this rollin, but I was actually trained in Ayurvedic diet and medicine in conjunction with Kundalini yoga.

I know that because it's me you may not want to take my advice, but I'm going to give it anyway. ;)

For a pitta...you want to get rid of stimulants or severely, severely limit them...that means caffeine, pills, spicy foods, any kind of stimulant. You want to decrease your intake in meat, and if you're eating meat be much pickier about the kind of meat you're eating, try to get off factory farmed meat if you can, where you live this should not be a problem, just get in touch with local farmers/ a cost-share.

The other thing you need to do is to cool your body off with cooling foods...sweet, juicy fruits, as well as more neutral fruits such as cucumber/tomato will do you good.

Herbs such as chamomile, spearmint, lavendar, rosehips, etc. will be calming, relaxing and yet offer a tiny bit of balanced stimulation.

Fast-food is extremely acidic, so you definitely want to stay away from that, and dairy is acid-forming as well as mucus-forming...so though it doesn't quite exacerbate your pitta consitution, it will interact with with your hot-headed conditions and create an uncomfortable clash, digestive and otherwise. So lower that as well.

Pitta is a great constitution to have actually. As long as you nourish the fire within you you can get great things accomplished. Pittas are very driven, hence the anxiousness and fire. However, your digestive fire is very strong and you don't want to eat things that will irritate that and make you overheat. So basically you want to eat easily digested foods because it will keep that fire balanced and give you easier access to use it how you want.

There are also some cooling exercises in Kundalini Yoga, if you're having problems with your constitution it's recommended to stick with a kriya for 40 days, usually... I will try to find a video for what I'm looking for.
