Woahh.... Obviously some sort of problem with him just walking free. At the same time, I'm not sure about him being a common criminal. It seems accurate to say that he's got serious personality disorder(s), and I generally believe in punishment more as a way of protecting society from harm, than for the sadistic pleasure of making the criminal suffer... He obviously should have undergone serious therapy and monitoring, and may still be a danger..... But he's been globe-trotting with bitches for years and hasen't done it again yet. Might have worked better if he was actually having sex during that time..... As for his books and porn and shit, it doesn't look like he's making anything on it, more like he was taken advantage of because japan likes sick shit. I mean I can see it being interesting to read, but they REALLY LIKE it, in a really creepy way. It's what happened with centuries of sexual repression and pride-based culture, popping out of the sand after WWII. They all became bona-fide pervs. At least some of them are consensual cannibals....
