My cat is 2.5 years old and he still kneads on my tummy everynight before I go to bed. I remember hearing that this is somthing cats do only if they were taken from their litter and mother at too soon an age. So I was thinking about it last night and wondering if that is true or if that is just a myth...considering that 3 out of the 4 cats I've ever had, had this little habbit. What do ya think? Does you cat still knead?

My cats do that every once in a while, I've never heard that it's because they were takem from their mothers too early. Who knows?

My cats constantly kneed, 1 bottlefed because the mom tried to eat him, 2nd his uncle who had a great mom and was with her until he was about 5 months old,3rd who was a barn cat before we got her, 4th we just got at 4 months old and was with his mom the whole time. 5th an outside cat that comes and goes as he pleases, dont know much about his past he adopted us when we moved here. All of them kneed all the time, and each have a diff past.

I personally think that now they are with us,and were there moms now they kneed us instead. Like thats how they show there love for us.

I'm not sure but i love it anyways:)
