My OCD confuses a police officer

I almost cut half my foot off because i was barefoot. I went swimming ,jumped in the pond and there was a piece of sheet metal i could not see in the mud.

 

See? See?? THAT'S WHY people SHOULD swim with shoes on (and socks for extra protection)!!! Right on, dude!

 

Q18: Is it legal to drive barefoot? YES!!! (At least in the United States, Canada, and England; I don't know about other countries.)

and on a side note.. i don't really care who wears shoes/boots whatever or who doesn't , you're still gonna wipe your feet before you come into my house !

 

Driving while barefoot is not illegal at the Federal or State level anywhere in the U.S.
Operating a motorcycle while barefoot is illegal in most States in conjunction with the illegality of operating a motorcycle without a helmet.
You can be ticketed for reckless operation for being barefoot if you are pulled over or in an accident and the officer feels that being barefoot contributed to the accident. This is at the officer's discretion and does not make driving while barefoot illegal.
Whether or not driving barefoot is advisable is debatable and has to be determined by the individual. There are numerous pros and cons put forth by members of both the shod and unshod camps.

Personally, I always thought driving while barefoot was illegal, and never really cared enough to find out whether or not it was. If I am in heels or thongs (flip flops) I kick them off to drive, but keep them close so I can put them back on if I was to get pulled over.

I really don't understand the animosity in this thread though. I don't post in this forum either, but when I read it I had to because with all of the crap going on in the world today, does it really matter who drives barefoot and who doesn't? Really? I figure if it is illegal and someone gets a ticket, it is their business not mine.

 

I for one enjoying going barefeet as much as I can. I don't understand why one would get so angry over a simple question? Make's me sad. Love everyone barefeeters

 

Ok here goes... Years ago in a state I grew up in... we were told was or could be used against you... if driving barefoot/ or shoes with soles on em...

Now mind you... this was back in sixties that I recall this. The state at the time was Michigan. I never really checked into it.

Whenever we were at the beach an returning home.. on came the sandals.

 

Wow! I didn't expect such strong words and feelings to come out. Take a breather, whew! My OCD is the fact I don't want dirty muddy salty shoes or wet shoes in my car. Sorry if I misled anyone.
