Now that The Netherlands have decided to slash their tourism revenue by restricting pot to the locals only, we're forced to find a new smoker's paradise. I've heard rumors that Canada is becoming increasingly pot friendly, especially Vancouver, but rumors aren't worth a wet rolling paper. What's the real story on the Canadian weed situation? Can you really buy in the coffee shops and smoke in the open just like Holland allowed? I can't find a trustworthy FAQ about this anywhere on the 'net, so I'm turning to the forums.
ummm not really BC is really pot freindly medicinal wise but is literally the columbia of pot. it produces a yearly rate of billions. so its quite openly done. pritty much everywhere. but for people who just smoke without med cards can still be charged. I dont think you can buy it in coffee shops but they have dispenserys for medicinal patients. medicinal use is legal in canada but it is hard to get a med card. doctors seem more open about it in BC and Ontario.
there are a few places in toronto that let you smoke/vape weed in there, but you have to bring your own (illegal) bud.
Damn, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the info. Looks like my next vacation's going to be Portugal then. At least there's ONE country where common sense prevails.
