I'm afraid if you can't even include my whole sentence in your quote, I don't care to help you understand.

This is what happens to you if you dare to tell the fucking truth. I pray Assange perpetually eludes these corrupt fuckers and continues to embarrass and expose these imperialists until the natural end of his days. Everytime I meet someone who calls this man a traitor I want to punch them right in their stupid teeth.

We get a quickly forgotten news snippet when some IMF banker rapes somebody, or shrug our shoulders when Rupert Murdoch taps into someone's cell phone, but lo and behold, a man dares to publish leaked or hacked truth on the wrong government, acquired by a conscientious/humanitarian activist, individual, or group and it's character assassination (or good ole fashioned regular assassination) time. This man would already be dead if he hadn't taken the precautions he did.

well IMHO he's a dickhead but I support 100% what he has done with wikileaks revelations and it's sure the US wanna get their hand on him, so he is a genuine asylum seeker/needer.

hard to know tho where it's going to go from here. The meeting of S.American premiers might change the game some.

Long live free speech and the exposure of hypocracy, lies and deceit.

If you read what the accusations are you'd just laugh it off.

Both women invited Julian to bed to have sex with them. That's a fact.

One woman refused when he didn't put on a condom. So he's ready to go, in her bed, with her permission and cause he didn't put on a condom, it's suddenly rape? Only in Sweden would that charge fly.

The other woman was also in bed with him, and supposedly changed her mind at the last moment, so he went ahead anyway. Again in the US it wouldn't fly as rape since she invited him into bed with the purpose of having sex.

It does seem these women did set him up. You realize that is what CIA agents do...

BTW, Julian hasn't been officially charged with anything yet. He's just wanted for questioning on these matters... So that's worth an International incident?

If I'm wrong on any of this, please correct me.

One of the allegations of rape against Assange is that he attempted to have sex with his girlfriend while she was asleep. Guilty M'Lud, I done it too and it has been done to me as well, so the pair of us belong in jail.

So with this knowledge, the next time I am half asleep and fancy a shag with the wife, I must wake her up, give her a coffee to make sure she is totally aware of my filthy intentions. Then when I am sure she is fully aware, I must get a written statement that she is is in full agreement of what we are about to do.

I tell you what, it would be the perfect contraceptive.

    Wait, so.....

Why doesn't sweeden fly a diplomat into the embassy, they can question julian, and wrap it up?

I guess that wouldn't be conducive to kidnapping him off to a CIA black site though, would it?

    Anyone seen any updates?

.....they could also just hang a rope off a helicopter with a guy on the end, like they do for rescues at sea, have him clip onto julian on the balcony, and whisk him away...... they wouldn't dare shoot down anything over the heads of all those cops.

The U.K. is spending 50,500 GBP, per day hoping to extradite this "rapist". Let's follow this logic to its ridiculous conclusion. . . How many times have you heard of such resources being spent to apprehend one sex criminal? I think it's safe to say that we could drastically reduce criminal sexual activity if we put these kinds of resources into arresting and prosecuting every rapist. If I was a victim of sexual assault in the UK, I would be absolutely fucking livid about this. Think of the hours of therapy, medical care and support this money could be spent on? Now tell me, with a straight face, that this is about a criminal sexual offense.

I just got back and there was no one to do Livestream last night... While I was away, the Poolice took down the barriers and told us we can no longer allowed to sleep here... They removed a couple of people's sleeping bags, although I'm not sure they are within their rights to have done that... As we all know, the law and the rights of the people to protest, doesn't seem to bother the Poolice... Julian and the Ecuadorian Embassy seem to think that the immediate threat to remove him had diminished for now... A diplomatic solution is being sort... We are waiting for others to come back before we make a final decision as to what we gonna do next, but the general feeling is that we stay here tonight without sleeping and all leave together tomorrow until such a time as we are needed here again... But this decision is not set in stone just yet... Will post again when I know more...

Obviously the whole situation is shady mcshady. Assange has nothing short of solid brass to do what he did. I'm thinking he may have been a little arrogant in thinking the governments of most 1st world countries wouldn't be on his ass and if he did then he sure didn't take enough precautions. I hope he makes it to Ecuador. I don't see how he will but even if he does the unfortunate truth is that they will eventually get him.

    I'm pulling for him.

Good news but you can be sure the US will hand over their most advanced electronic surveillance technology to Britain. Julian won't be able to fart without MI 5 knowing what he had for dinner.
I'm more disgusted by the way my government in Australia is kissing Uncle Sam's arse over all this. What the hell are they getting in return from the US?
Nuclear weapons? I don't think that's a conspiracy too far.

I find it interesting that so many think that their government must be an Uncle Sam ass kicker to give in to things of this nature. It is not just America, there are people who want to run the ENTIRE planet and it is very conceivable that they have infiltrated all "modern" societies. Wake Up! It is not just one country...

But how easy would it be to make you think it was...how easy to stir your sense of patriotism and blame one single government...how simple to have the "bad guy" be the baddest country on the planet so people can say goddamnit if it wasn't for that damn Uncle Sam this world would be a great place BUT since Uncle Sam is such a badass guess there isn't much we can do about it...

I find it almost impossible to make sense out of that unless you've actually misspelt 'licker' as 'kicker' by mistake.
And yes, it's not just the US, if that's what you're saying. Evil knows no boundaries.

An aspect of such conspiracy theories I find fascinating is not just the lack of evidence but the determined avoidance of the possibility that the kind of evil contemplated isn't necessarily perpetrated by some secret body of mysterious individuals but openly by just about every government on the planet.
