Have you ever thought

about what other intelligent life would be doing in the universe if it exists? you think they'd be living on a planet seperated by religion, nationality, and cultural differences? you think they'd be investigating the origins of the universe's inception? would they have it all figured out? you think they'd be religious? i know some people believe in 'ufo's', and it's ridiculous. for an alien race to travel to our corner of our galaxy, they'd have to be traveling millions and millions of light years. they'd have to be traveling near the speed of light, and have to have reengineered the genetic code. literally be immortal, or very close to it. i know it's just imagination and conjecture, just sharing thoughts.

 

I've wondered about this from time to time, but I guess we won't know until we meet them.

 

If they're truly intelligent, they'll be sitting on a beach with a tropical drink in hand, just enjoying existence.

 

My understanding of them is that they are very much into genetic manipulation. According to most abduction victims, their primary interest is in reproductive organs. I believe that, if there were alien abductions going on and such, the ufos would be kind of a semi-permanent base around Earth. They would have reproduced and such en route, or perhaps even be advanced enough to genetically solve or slow problems like aging and disease.

 

I brought this up the other day.

Well first, I bet a species that advanced would probably be slightly homogeneous. One language and all that, and I suspect ours will be like that in a thousand years or so.

But more importantly, in the event of an alien encounter. I doubt they would come to just hang out... I mean they'd probably have the technology to send emails, and that would be a lot easier and safer to do.

And I doubt they'd come for war either. I mean, if they needed the resources, they could probably just farm asteroids and stuff. And for slaves? They'd probably just use robots.

So I think the most likely reason for alien contact is religious conversion. They're trying to convert us to their Alien god Momar or something. And who knows, I might convert. I mean they have spaceships.

I would hope that other life forms wouldn't be burdened by all that crap and could just accept life for what it is and enjoy it instead of make it harder and start fights over stories of how their existence came to be.

 

I try to refrain from thinking as much as possible.

oh, this is about aliens. wouldn't have guessed by the thread title...

if there is other intelligent life out there, it could be doing pretty much anything. interesting how the same people that like to say it would be arrogant to assume we're the only intelligent life in the universe never seem to see the arrogance in assuming we're the only intelligent life in the universe who acts the way we do.

 

They could come out of curiosity. That's the basic driving force behind human space exploration; well, that and the need to show up those pesky Russians and their space program.

So maybe they'll come because they're having a race to earth with a neighboring planet. Last one is a rotten egg!

 

you don't actually have an understanding of them. you think you do. harvard did a study of the victims and confirmed they were just dreams. realistically speaking, if aliens could travel millions of light years, and be immortal, why would they be traveling to other planets? most likely for the resources, or to live there. not to spy on other intelligent beings, and anally probe men and women.

 

you send and email thousands of light years, you'd still have to wait millions of light years for it to get to whatever planet you're aiming for, and wait millions of more years to get a reply.

if they're truly more intelligent, i doubt they'd have a religion, but who knows.

there's no if. and everyone on every world wonders the same thing about everyone else on every other world. i mean really, is that so complicated? no two worlds on which there are people are alike, nor are the people on any one very much like those on another in appearance. on the other paw, creativity and curiousity that makes people people, are what they are everywhere.

there is no ONE them, there are zillions of worlds on which there are people, all completely odd looking to each other. each world with its own diverse spectrum of cultures and beliefs.

oh yes, there are some places that have cosmetic regenetics. just part of the more diversity then you can possibly begin to imagine.

well i shouldn't spoil it for you, but this nonsense idea that there is only one or two other places besides here, i cannot just let pass without pointing out the illogic of.

get real folks: there's BIG universe out there, however convenient to existing beliefs it might be to imagine otherwise.

 

If they solved wormhole capabilities then the trip might not be so bad, and the wormhole would keep them from having to come from space through the atmosphere. The end of the wormhole goes straight to area 51.

Or they could be looking at us from the fourth dimension.
