I was getting so pissed watching the DNC, because it's just like the RNC only instead of the word Romney all you hear is "Obama, Obama, Obama" Fuck man! If I hear anyone else say that Obama stands for Liberty or human rights I'm gonna deck them square in the face! This fucking guy is destroying our country. Scratch that- politicians are destroying this country. I just can't believe that this stupid gibberish STILL has people caught in this left-right paradox of war,war,war,abortion, welfare and, women! There's no real fucking difference. The USA seriously has to contain the stupidest people on this damn planet.

I was watching the DNC earlier, what a sham. They try to act like they are the better party, they even have the balls to say they are part of the working class. Two wings of the same demo-republican hawk.

Anybody else think the political party will shift once the other generations grow up.

No way man, libertarian party is gaining momentum and with the introduction of the internet i see the grassroots collective having stronger support. Sure there will still be the same old political shithole but there will be a few gems and in time the political party will shift.

 

Libertarian doctrine can only work on an ideal planet with ideal people... we don't have that here.

 

Well the people can make their own choices. It's ideal political figures that we need, and that isn't too hard, if people could learn to pay attention and see through the rhetoric.

 

I don't think people are necessarily stupid..well, I think people are fucking idiots actually, but not for the same reason you do.

The majority of people I know don't like the right or the left, they just have no clue how to take their country back from either side.

I know people who can explain perfectly rationally and intelligently why they still support Obama. I knew people during the bush administration who could actually surprisingly make an intelligent pro bush argument.

In the end people usually care about politics insomuch as it effects their own personal interests. Obama has pissed a lot of people off, but he's not a lame duck. He's passed policies that benefit certain subsets of the population, and these will be his loyal supporters.

The next president will earn the same loyalty from whichever group they help the most. Unfortunately for this country, if it's Romney it will be corporate America.

I hate to buy into the lesser of two evils thing, but I think Romney will be a disaster for this country. Obama is a disaster too, don't get me wrong. They're both essentially working for corporate America, and our civil liberties are fucked no matter who is in charge..but Obama at least throws a bone to the middle and lower class every once in a while, and he hasn't lived and breathed the corporate world his entire working career like Romney.

I'm probably not voting though. I belong to the first group I mentioned. Politics are pretty much a joke to me, a sinister, hurtful, shameful joke.

I get that,but if any of you think that it would be better for the majority of us to get republicans back running the facade, you are going to be surprised at how most everything will revert back to exactly like the years 2000-2008,when the chimp "governed".
