i actually dont really like to WATCH sports or racing, id rather be involved in the actual activity than just sitting on my fat ass watching it and playing my modern day D&D with fantasy leagues.
I blew out my shoulder in junior high.. lack of insurance left me with a fucked up shoulder for the rest of my life.. im kinda stuck having to watch.. or take the chance that at anytime i throw or swing with a decent amount of velocity.. that my shoulder comes out of socket... and i deal with an immense amount of pain.. so.. i watch.. sometimes bitterly watch
I fail to see what makes American football so interesting. They portray themselves as these ultimate athletes but all I see is a bunch of a 350 pound guys standing around. Most of game is "I have the ball so I am going to stand here and wait while the clock ticks". A play is a few seconds if your lucky then these fat asses have to spend 2 minutes discussing how the next short play goes. Less then 15 min of the 60 min of game time are spent in motion the rest is just this waiting game. Then they go the sidelines and they have pure oxygen waiting for them and team workers who pour water down their necks for them. Like they are cripples and can't even give themselves water or breath properly. They are not a 90 year old cancer patient, stop treating them like they are. And they only have to to this once a week, seems like a pretty nice gig to make millions on.
Cool story bro.. But maybe you misunderstood the thread.. this ain't a "Who likes football?" thread.. this is a thread for football discussion(ie: people who already enjoy the sport).. you don't like the sport.. then take it else where.. have a good day
you were probably the kind of kid who tried to play sports when you were younger but would just start crying because you were scared and sucked at them. And now you are stuck just talking shit about guys who would snap your neck in a heart beat.
I really only watched the Steelers/Donkeys game last night. Thought Mr Manning looked good once the coaches let him have some offensive control instead of focusing on a lackluster run game. It was great to see D Thomas snag another long TD as he did in the wild card game against the steelers. I was impressed at the protection the O line gave him even without Clady. Thought the Denver D was mediocre. Not covering their guys tight and giving up a lot of yards but in the end they got the pick 6 which insured the win. Bring on the Falcons in Week 2!
Blair Walsh's 55yd field goal kick to take the game into OT was nothing short of spectacular.. Rookie kicker has a lot of future if he can pull shit off like that consistantly! 4 FGs the whole game.. including the game winning FG
No I played hockey for many years and was actually asked to play football as a corner back. I am no stranger to a rough sport. I just find football so overrated. I know it's THE sport in America, but whatever. No NFL player has the endurance needed for hockey, they can barley manage to run a 10 second play without 5 trainers codling them. But if a hockey player put on 100 lbs of fat he could be a fine lineman I guess. Do they have they strength needed? Maybe, but that is nothing if you can not keep up.
I could see how a hockey fan doesn't enjoy football especially watching it. Football is very slow moving compared to hockey. The time it takes to play a football game with all the advertising and tv time outs does irk me.
Vese Daiogo Bobby Boucher. Football only gets good until the playoffs, unless you're a fantasy team manager or having an orgasm when you see your favorite player score the winning touchdown for your favorite team who triumphed over the team that you foam at the mouth when you see even their combination of colors on something that doesn't even have any relations to them. Typically American Rednecks. =/
