That's ok. Most people aren't aware. We hear support our troops, etc., but we don't really get much love here. Oh, and I am 100%.
Hi. I was really hoping a few more would have responded, but that's ok, I know how it is. A lot of people have jokes on here, which is all good, but I have been trying to find other vets, especially PTSD rated vets to share ideas and concerns. For instance, the meds they try to give us that only makes things worse and things of that nature. Also, looking to get advice on homebuying via the VA loan. Went thru the process including a home inspection only to find out that the VA doesn't approve a lot of townhomes and condos, so I chose not to buy and ended up losing money. I've been rated at 100% for two tears now, and am still trying to navigate my way, and I know others are, too. Supposedly there is or was a site where it was all vets helping each other find their way, but even the guy that told me about it can't find it, so I was trying here. thanx
I'm not a disabled vet, but I'm married to a vet that has PTSD. And the VA loan is very picky about the home choices. Make sure you are up to date with their laws/regulations on giving out the loan in your state.
Sorry to hear about your spouse. I know I drive my wife crazy sometimes to where she probably feels she's the one that really needs medication. Trying to find a VA approved home has been a bit tricky, but worse has been the real estate agents that don't want to work with us because they won't get a big commission. That is what really gets me. However, I am no longer looking, but a lot of vets go thru the same thing and it just doesn't seem right.
