We have to stay overnight again and she might need to go back on the drip but so far so good, shes toddling around again

Finally, after almost 3 days, we got a sample! She has an infection and is now on anti biotics but they taste like strawberries so she doesn't mind
I'm worn out though, she won't sit/lie down so I've had to walk up and down the ward all day rocking her and I think my back is breaking!!
She's still offish with her food and drink but is taking some, luckily as far as im aware she wont need to be on a drip tonight so fingers crossed for a more settled sleep

 

At least they've found out what is wrong with her and the treatment can begin. I think you'll be surprised how quickly she bounces back to full health.

 

Glad they found out something... Pretty soon she will be running you ragged because she's well.

I'm literally crying for joy, the hospital let me order Chinese take away! This will be the first meal I've eaten since Thursday! And definitely no drip for Lyla as she was drinking without me needing to do it with a syringe she had a couple of carrots for dinner but wouldn't eat anything else, to be fair though food isn't the concern. Fingers are crossed that the morning will be even better and we will get to go home! (and shower!!!!!!)

This is good news Mama. Did she have a UTI? Make sure she drinks her fluids any way you can.

 

Yep a UTI which was amplified by dehydration! So glad we know now and can start getting her better

I'm in an annoying part of the ward tonight, last night we had our own room but now weve been moved to a room full of pre-teens all watching tv really loudly luckily my little munchkin dropped right off and is out for the count now! and no silly drip to keep her awake and irritated! Although she still has the thing in her hand to attach it again if need be and they've wrapped it up in bandages so she doesn't rip it out which means she can't actually use that hand, she just has her thumb poking out!
