sounds like you should stay away from LSD, i agree. but not because it's "man-made" but because you sound irresponsible as fuck from the story you told. your friends sound even worse.

how did you come to hold 50 hits of acid in your hand, and what made you think to down it like a shot? had no one told you what it was?

if you eat 5-8 grams of mushrooms it might have you in a similar situation - running around chanting or blacking out.

 

And I assume you were the most responsible and knowledgeable 17 year old in the world? I don't think I even care what level of responsibility you believe I possess, so I do not feel the need to justify anything.

LSD is my favorite psychedelic, so it rubbed me the wrong way when you said how you'd never take it again because of you bad experience. it's fine if you never take it again, but at least realize that it was the LSD's fault that you blacked out and got a stick in your arm. if you eat 8 grams of mushrooms you are likely to repeat the pattern. eat like 4 grams, that should be PLENTY for a reintroduction after 11 years.
