The stark differences between cons and libs

There is no denying that the cons are for the rich, corporate business and the war machine. The libs are for the middle class, the elderly, education, healthcare, women's rights,and equality for all races. And these are the things the cons have spent the last fifty years trying to destroy.

The only president to balance the budget was a liberal, Clinton. Shrub and the cons destroyed it in less than six months, giving welfare to millionaires.

The cons caused the great depression in 1929 by deregulating banks. And they caused the great recession in 2007, with the deregulation of Wall Street and Wall Street banks.

So the real question in this election is, will the American voters let the cons do it all over again? To do so will be like the Germans allowing the nazis to come to power.

That's the facts, no matter how the cons here try to B.S. this LIBERAL FORUM.

this is not a liberal forum and being capable of recognizing the fact that there is really little to no difference between "liberal" and "conservative" politicians does not make one a conservative. the OP has BSed this POLITICAL FORUM more than everyone else on the forum combined, and i'm not sure he even realizes it.

Last I checked, Obama and the Democrats were nothing more than corporate war-mongers also.

It's actually $500 billion, but only $100 billion in January. That should stop those nasty drone attacks. But if the cons and Romney win in November, those cuts won't happen.

I think part of the problem is that much of the public thinks that Obama is "liberal" simply because he's in the Democratic party. But his policies are anything but. "Conservative" and "Republican" mean essentially the same thing, but "Liberal" and "Democrat" do not, at least not in the current political climate.

If the charge is, "If liberal policies are so great then why is Obama so bad?", the simple answer is, "Obama is no liberal."

 

To me, a liberal politician is someone who seeks to increase the size and scope of government under the guise of "helping people" and "solving problems" (ones the government deliberately creates to justify bigger government), but in reality it's to better control people. I see liberalism as being a tool to control people.

As far as conservatives, I find there are very few people in politics who would truly fit the definition of conservative. Most Republicans are not much different from Democrats, fiscally speaking and in terms of being big government (both sides support the police state, the war on drugs, the war on terrorism etc.) but both sides use social issues to differentiate themselves and create polarity. They are simply smoke screens to hide themselves from the fact they are so much the same.

I believe the real definition of conservative is far different than what liberals interpret it to mean. True conservatism is about limited government and the preservation of individual liberties -- THAT IS IT. I cannot think of one politician who champions these things, except for perhaps Ron Paul, but I don't trust him either. I don't trust any politician, because politics in and of itself is just a tool of the cryptocracy. It is a ruse designed to ensnare the masses and keep them in the dark, arguing amongst themselves over petty, meaningless nonsense.

I absolutely despise liberalism, and I make that no secret. However, that doesn't make me a conservative, because most of them are full of shit, too. All I know is that government isn't the answer to ANYTHING. When you scrape away all the bullshit, there really is no liberalism and conservatism. These are just labels used to polarize people and get them in teams so that they are arguing amongst themselves, blind to the real issues that have nothing to do with left or right.

In short, I have no time for people who adhere to labels like liberal and conservative. They simply do not get it.

 

The cons have branded Obama and the democrats "liberals". For over thirty years the cons have been trying to turn the word "liberal" into a dirty word, just like the nazis did to the word "Jews". Have you ever heard the term, "those dirty filthy hippies"? The republicans have been trying to equate that term with the word "liberals". And all you have to do is just look at PRESSED RAT to see that it's working. If you want to see America become like nazi Germany, just buy into the GOP.
