Going to see Shpongle in a week! :D

Animal Collective are more of a psychedelic rock band, but the stuff that got them popular all of a sudden was their foray into electronic psychedelic music: their album "Merriweather Post Pavilion" and the EP "Fall Be Kind".

I'm curious to see where you guys would classify this. It's a take on instrumental psychedelic rock. We incorporate a heavy electronic integration via an array of analog synthesizers, samplers, and sequencers all run through multiple effects chains live throughout the music. All this including heavy acoustic and electronic drums, bass, and guitar, accompanied with live visuals. We're called "Transmute." We are trying to recreate the psychedelic experience through an audio/visual production. The visual experience of the music is all thought out and triggered live from another member of the band off to the side. However, in this video there was a light guy at the venue that didn't know our music. So it could looked better. Also the sound in the video isn't the greatest, but it's not bad for an iPhone(1080p).
Anyway I hope you guys like it. I know there has to be some like minded individuals in these threads who can appreciate this.

I prefer to dance to it rather than listen to it...only time I really just listen to it is going to a party while on the road ....

Great for doing the domestics too...

My 2 cents: it's highly psyched out stuff...it goes down a bit hard on the drum work, but the rhthym is great for dancing...however, I'd prefer to listen & dance (together) to Axiom Funk:):)
