Hello, do you have a right to stay dump and uneducated? Or ist it a citizen's holy obligation to get as much education and knowledge as possible? I'm indecisive. Regards Gyro
Well, ask yourself this: With all the world's problems, are we more likely to be able to address them positively if we have more knowledge, or less?
Hello, oh, well. It's one of those words, like think and thing or to and too. You know it, but you almost never get it right . Regards Gyro
I'm Sure You Realise I Meant No Offence, But As Usual GLEN Just Couldn't Help Himself..... Cheers Glen.
I think we all should educate ourselves. Not in the traditional, ridiculous college sense (unless that works for you)...but in the things we like. If you love gardening and feel passionate about it, pick up landscaping or read up on different plants. Or if you have a talent for something you enjoy doing-like painting...then start painting...work on those skills...then display them for people to see.
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit... Wisdom is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit cocktail...
Glen Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. I thought dump might be some of the younger folks new ways of saying things. I can't count the number of posts that I don't understand because I am not in the know of the new meanings of words. :sunny:
I think learning to read was education's largest contribution to my life. I am sure without school my Mom would have taught me to read. Our experiences also teach us. If you know how to read you can pretty much learn anything you want, whenever you want. You don't need to go to a school to learn.
People can stay dumb if they want, but I still feel sorry for them. I find life to be much richer for having an education. And I do fear for the future of our society because of our populations insistence on being dumb.
