First Trip, was that even Acid?

First of all hello everyone, I've had a lot of reading here but now i finally decided to join the forum, very nice place indeed.

So here is the story,
I've been to a music festival a week ago and bought a single blotter from some guy i met there.
I decided it would be wiser to save it and try it at home because i wasn't really digging the vibes there that day
And it would be my first psychedelic drug(other than weed).

Well, yesterday I took it at 11:00 PM and it had a VERY bitter taste with sort of a tingling numbing feeling on my tongue..
At that point i thought to myself "shit that must be some kind of RC". I've made a quick search about it but the answers were too mixed..
I decided to take it anyway and I swallowed it because i couldn't stand the horrible taste.
Immediately I started to feel anxiety and nausea and generally bad but I figured it was all psychological as there is no way it could have affected me within 10 minutes..

I laid down and calmed myself and started to feel better
For the next 45 minutes I started to feel tingling electric-like energy running through my body and weird emotions flowing withing me.
My body got really tense(especially my stomach) and my muscles felt kinda weird.. it made me giggle a lot.

At around 12:00 AM I could see slight CEV but they weren't very clear.
I had streams of memories and thoughts and feelings rushing through me all at the same time, and it was confusing yet very joyful.

It's about 12:30 AM and I decide its time to get up go to my room and listen to some music
Walking was pretty weird at first and peeing was definitely intense lol
I sat on the carpet in my room and it looked like the patterns on it are stretching and breathing..
I turn on some music and boy that made me laugh like crazy.
I could hear each layer of vocal tracks in the recording separately in my head, and imagined them making funny faces and sending private messages to me.

The next couple of hours were not so intense in the mental state and the music didn't sound that nice anymore
It kind of bummed me out for a while because I was expecting much more.
The visuals were more clear but not that strong, they got only to a level of "objects look alive when i stare at them"
As in the moved and breathed and stretched.. but only if I was staring at them for a few seconds.
I then sat in front of my mirror and just stared at me and smiled, and boy was that weird lol
I could see my face getting all twisted and I changed forms to sort of a snake man and then an elf and all sort of crazy stuff.
It didn't scare me because if I blinked I looked normal again.

At this point I felt a little disappointed as I was expecting more and everything felt too mild,
yet my body was still extremely tense and I couldn't dance to some nice music like I planned to.. I just wasn't feeling it.
I noticed then that it's around 6:00 AM and I looked outside the window and it was dawn.
I put on Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" album and listened to it while sitting in my balcony and watching the sun come up.
It was amazing.. but in a more organic way.. I didn't have any visuals or pretty colors I simply enjoyed nature.

The effects wore off at around 11:00 AM
It is now 9:15 PM and I could only sleep for about 4 hours today
I feel really worn out and my muscles are sore and I hope It'll pass quickly enough..


Overall, I enjoyed it as it was my first Psychedelic drug other than weed.
Yet I feel I wasn't really there and it could have been a lot better..

what do you think about this first experience and do you think it was acid or some RC? (the bitter taste was really bad)

Sounds like 25x-nbome. It's all too common these days for this to be sold as acid. It sucks that you had anxiety about the taste. It's hard to avoid in this situation. All in all though it sounds like you had a pretty good introduction to psychedelics. Good luck finding some real acid, and welcome.

 

i don't think that was acid.

when you find actual LSD, it's still possible that one hit will leave you a bit underwhelmed. for your first time...probably not (one was enough for me), but a lot of acid is dosed pretty low.

 

That sounds identical to my first trip on one hit of acid I stayed up all night in my room and by morning all I had was an after-glow. It was kinda bitter on my tongue so I was also unsure. Kinda a let down.. I assume because it was a weak hit. But there are chances of it being 25x-nbome!! I'm not entirely sure.
The reason I believe it was LSD was cause I've done LSA. LSA is similar though it wasn't visual it made me process thoughts the same and everything felt soooo good. While on acid objects were breathing and warping, but everything I touched felt like an orgasm, close to how my body felt on LSA. I assume since they're closely related I didnt do a random RC and it was just a weak hit.

irisaura, your trip does sound similar to mine it's just mine had kind of a dirty feeling to it.. a bit less euphoric

I can't really tell if it was weak acid or an RC because its the first time I've tried any of them.
The thing that makes me believe that it was some RC was that the taste was so strong..
I drank some orange juice hoping it would help, but it just caused the taste to spread in my mouth and that was quite terrible.


When I'll get my hands on some real LSD, would you suggest that I'll take 2 hits instead of 1?

 

i you could be sure it was LSD, sure...i'd take 2. but you have to eat it to even guess at what it is, so it's best to start with 1.

the taste and the spreading of the taste sound like what i've read about 25i-nbome.

 

If it had a dirty feeling, I'd go with my intuition. I've never done an RC so I can't really say.. If you're positive you have LSD do 2 hits and you'll def know
