King Herod was hated by all jews because he was of non-jewish blood.
His tribe was forced to convert to judaism. Don't blame me, argue with the history channel.

Do you have a point? Judaism is not a proselytizing religion. That it happened once or twice is a blip in Jewish History, and proselytizing is something we frown upon. Traditionally, those who wish to convert are turned away to test their willingness to become a Jew. Even in other situation, a potential convert will most likely be talked to for a while to make clear that this is something very serious to us. We don't take becoming Jewish lightly.

Over here we have to study for 3 years, and a rebe has to try his hardest to dissuade us from conversion three times before allowing us to convert.. Perhaps you should understand that it was mainly jewish observance of the horrors of forced conversion (I was told that this was mainly christian missionaries and their treatment of blacks etc to make them convert, but I think that was a bit harsh and opinion rather than truth) that made us who we are..

Who doesn`t have Jewish "roots?" The problem is no one will admit it, but I`m sure that many people who are now and have been Christian can connect the dots to Jewish ancestory. They should be proud. Now let`s search for Muslims with Jewish roots - how many converts of fear are out there.
