Did you get excited when a Federal judge ruled the part of the NDAA that allowed for indefinite detention unconstitutional? A lone appeals judge has placed a hold on that injunction. So, read this while you still can (because you might be a terrorist if you disagree with the US Government). Our rights are being legislated away all in the name of the "war on terror".

I bet when Obama wins in November, he'll send them all back to from where they came, because he won't be running for reelection again.

I hope that he will do a lot of radical things if he is reelected, but that isn't enough of a basis for me to vote for him.

He is doing a lot of radical things NOW. The NDAA is Radical.
I am sure a lot of voters that are on the fence feel the same way purp, maybe he will lose a few votes.
Does it even matter who we vote for, or is that shit already decided?

how is this different from the 40s and 50s when everyone was detained for being a communist?

At any given point in time, politically, there will be some way to take away rights of the citizens...and moreso now that we have become this giant, overpopulated, frustrated, violent clusterfuck of a country.

I see that because of the charge state of a lot of people in the country right now, that if enough people of similar origin (based on race, or organizational association) there would be a huge civil backlash towards the government

I honestly think that civil war - on some level, whether it is violent and fueled with automatic weapons, or guerilla/chaotic mess - WILL break out, at least in my lifetime if not in the next 20 years.

Congress has probably been thinking the same thing and fearing it, thus all the crazy martial law shit that has been passing.

i don't get why people are SOOOOOOOO adamant about Obama being a constitution-hater...the base for these opinions seem pretty loose.

I'm not an Obama fanboy by any means, but I also don't think he is some crazed fascist with a plot to kill every American and drink their blood.

Did the Obama administration work to quickly appeal because they are already using the NDAA to detain people? GREAT article:

The government has failed. It's time for the people to rise up and change the game. Perhaps saying this in my own words would be considered "terrorist activity," therefore I will quote our founding documents in an attempt to manifest the meaning of patriotism.

Fuck this. No government should have this power. This is very disturbing, and proves once more that gov't is above the law. I am sure the Canadian gov't up here is taking notes. Anyone who helped usher this NDAA into fruition deserves to spend the rest of their lives in jail.

What gets me is Mr. Obama signed in to law , a law that lets the gov. hold any one with out any charges , and there is no real coverage on t.v. If pres. Bush had done this it would be breaking news on c.n.n. until he removed the law . desert rat
