never met a group of uncompassionate women like this before!

    Restored post:
I went to a new GYN today, as the one I was seeing relocated. She didn't think I was a whore and simple understood.

We talked about going on the pill to perhaps slow down the flow, or stop it all together and she said that is nothing wrong with wanting that.

And BTW ladies- the Soft Cup is a lot cleaner and nicer to use than tampon's could ever be.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, and am a little shocked at getting called a whore. My hormones were serging and at a very high peak sexually. I was simply sharing my experience.

And this guy- I never desired someone physically like this before. We feel an energy exchange that is so great we have to sleep with our backs turned away from each other. Hopefully sleep will occur but not likely. The energy is too strong. And when our hands touch we feel it to be like magnets pushing into our skin. It's really something else.

So that is a little back ground. Now if any of you wanted me to be here for you, if you were going through something, I still would be.

We are all unique and our experiences shape us. Love to you all.

I've heard the cup works well, but don't recommend it. I can't stand something like that in my cooter, I use to use the NuvaRing (or whatever it's called). It was sooo annoying.

But, I don't advise stopping your period just for sex! That seems kind of desperate and bad for your health! Just wait til next weekend! If you can't, then take my motto "if you can run through mud you can fuck through blood"!

dixie pixy, that's the best line I've heard in awhile!! Can I borrow it?

I'd have to agree with DP - don't take mess with your health just for sex. You know you can still do the deed while bleeding. How well do you know your partner? I'd discuss it. He may not be opposed to bloody sex. Just use towel to prevent staining the bed clothes or wherever you end doing it the delight deed! Just an errant thought.

Yes Ma'am you may! It's not mine after all, just a good ol' sayin!

See OP - You should take more consideration for your own health. Kind of makes you sound like a whore, stopping your mensies just for some dick!!

i'm quite sure nobody was offended, but this post really doesn't even make sense.

i think more women would agree to DP than they want you to think...

Have sex on your period, I recommend laying down a towel. Easy.

    How old are you?
I'm sure your doctor wouldn't call you a whore,
but that doesn't mean I won't!! Just my opinion!

    Good luck with that...

I think the name calling and attempted shaming is over the top.

I personally wouldn't chose a BC method solely to stop periods. However, I did chose Mirena because my periods were getting pretty painful, and I didn't want to go the estrogen route. (Mirena has progestin that releases locally. It is hormonal, and I wavered on that, too)
One benefit is that my periods stopped altogether.
This is making peri menopause interesting, since signal number one is off the table.

I think that considering period changes should be in a decision.

    But for a temporary guy?
Temp methods! Be kind to your system overall.

I am answering with a medium bias away from hormones, so that is to be considered.

I'd never take the pill. Only BC methods I'd use (if I were sexually active... I'm not :( ) would be condoms and Family Awareness Method (more in-depth than rhythm method!). I've heard raspberry leaves can be used as a natural morning after pill. I need to look into that more.

Eating healthy and being physically active and avoiding crazy fucking chemicals is important, too. I used to get painful, 5 day periods. When I started eating tons of fruits and veggies (especially uncooked) and being active, my periods last 2-4 days, are light, and painless.
