Quick sketch of my daughter :)

This is the first time I've posted anything I've done.
It's bad quality.
I'm trying to get back into drawing more, I drew this from a photograph taken of her asleep about 7 months ago! Just done in pencil, took about 10 minutes

She was sleeping she was about 7 or 8 months old here

Nice! You certainly seem to have shapes and form down pat... Would like to see some other works.

Ten minutes? Not bad. Like Trysonwood said, you've got the shapes down. That reminds me of one of my old professors who always tells his students to look at the shapes. It's all about the shapes. Once you get them you can work on forms. Keep up the good work.

 

I mainly just scribble them quickly. And only usually do them of my daughter, she has a really photogenic face and I find her features quite nice to draw.

I did this just now, another 10/15 minute one. The lighting is terrible, but it is half past midnight!



And this one, done now too. I seem to have taken this is a more natural looking light yay. I don't like this one, its too out of proportion but I'm just practising right now so don't mind.

Like Aeri said I would put these in here baby book or it would be cool to start her a book of just drawings & sketches that you do of her. That would be something really cool to give her when she gets older. Just a thought

 

I did a book binding class a few years back so I'll probably make her one from scratch :2thumbsup:

 

Yeah, that would be really cool & have pictures of her through out the years & when she sees it when she gets older it will look awesome. I bet it'll make her happy to see something like that she will probably feel special too! Also I would bet she will be amazed @ her MamaP's beautiful talent

 

I love this. Beautiful maternal energy in this sketches. It's hard not to feel good looking at these.
