honestly i dont think so. but there are lots of books about mushrooms, that tell you lots of different characteristics. also depends on what part of the country you live in. look at:national audubon society and shroomery.org
never been there, but check out those websites i told you about. besides you can just order the spores online and grow them yourself, i did a lot of looking up on that one before.
a few buddies of mine said they grow in September - October the best, and said they got like nipples on the caps, i found this shroom growing on a dead tree stump
Where did you find it? I'm not going to lie and say I know a lot about mushrooms, but that looks like a classic fungi that I could pick in my backyard
The short answer is No. Nothing special or magic. Probably not even edible. At first glance, and judging from the wooded habitat im guessing some kind of Armillaria species. I would need to see the gills, and a spore print to be sure.
