Every age appears to need a witch to burn. It's becoming unfashionable to attack gays & lesbians when once it was anyone who didn't bow down to Rome who was tortured and burnt. Hippies were a convenient target but sadly for the 'authorities' were too smart to keep dressing in a manner that exposed them. Besides, well financed gangsters took over the production of weed when the heat was turned up - as they did during prohibition. Now that we have sophisticated and cheap to perform drug tests the authorities have a new stick to beat us around the head with. The only way around that if for junkies & hippies ( or whatever we call pot heads like me these days) to acknowledge the dangers of being hideously stoned whilst attempting to perform certain work or for those who suffer from conditions like schizophrenia. You have to admit, for instance, to fly a plane when smacked off your face or tripping is dangerous if you want people to accept realistic assertions about, or lack of, risks involved between alcohol compared to marijuana consumption. However, in a so called free society like the US the chances of an open and honest debate are very limited. When was the last time you came across a scientifically thorough investigation of the differences between the effects of hyroponically grown, highly bred grass spayed with gibberellic acid and dope as it was sold in the 1970's? Few of any of you who post here have thought about the implications of that one. Can't have it both ways kiddies - - now pass the bong.

 

They might be able to mimic the look, but people have changed. There is no returning to those times.
