Okay, I have two different medications I need to get filled. One I need to get filled through my insurance at a Walgreens. The other I need to get filled at a Walmart for price purposes. Somehow it is cheaper there without using insurance than at Walgreens with insurance. Anyway.......they are both written on the same script. Are they going to make me fill both at one location? Surely they cannot force me to fill my medications with a certain place. Do they give you a new prescription with the other medication on it to take to the other pharmacy? I am new to all this so ALL help would be appreciated.
If it is written on the same script paper it will have to be filled at the same place, but like said b4 you might could get 1 of the price match or have the doctor fax your prescription to each place
I took it to one place. and ya you guys were right. same script same place. they can send one to walgreens and they are both currently filled at the other place, they called the doc to get permission but her fucking office was closed today. I left a message on the script hotline which im assuming psychiatrists check every morning to see if everything is good with their patients scripts. Wish i had went back to this post this morning about the fax idea. it was a good one. but would not have made a difference doctor wasn't in that location at all today. Gonna give the office a call tomorrow morning and make sure they get on it. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice everyone. Next time should get two scripts. And also I didnt want one medication on my insurance record was another reason for this whole debacle.
And the moral of the story was, I went back to the doctor and she wrote me two different prescriptions. Not really a moral but thought id let everyone know.
My prescriptions have always been separate. I used to only go to one place until my insurance started turning down some of the medications. I take the turned down ones to another location (Krogers) and they do not know about my insurance. They also have really low prices on their medications. Three months for 10-12 dollars.
Not so much fun as something that really helps me out, clonazepam. Started seeing this new psychiatrist, honestly i do not like her very much because its all her talking and me being told whats wrong with me from a brief description. It doesnt matter though, if she doesnt change next appointment (tomorrow) then after i get and fill another script, ill go somewhere else to seek counseling. I didnt want the kpin on my insurance record at the pharmacy i usually use.....
