This yr indiana rainbow has tried their best 2 have a sorta "pre" holding camp to shawnee. A spot hasn't been found yet 4 it. Their national forest is called hoosier. They had attempted a regional before natls natls as a sorta holding camp for it as well. 2 my delite i noticed for the first time an ohio event held in a place called paddle creek. This was after hoosier & before cumberland in ky then natls. On the map this is almost a trail. I was even more delited when indy fam attempted said regional. The dates 4 indy were 2 be aug 31-sept9th. If a float were 2 be done from vicinity of indy to vicinity of shawne, the dates of this are almost perfect. I say this as it may take a lil while 2 get a float of this magnitude & method 2gether. This yr

 

1st choice of a site 4 indy fallgathering was salt creek. I was delited 2 learn of interest in lake patoka as 2nd choice. Since there are several camping areas around lake patoka, maybe some are more fam-friendly than others. This particular gig may have boiled down to being a weekend campout. So a site for it could be a bit more flexible.

Is the saline rvr any higher than usual, mary? I heard it was rather shallow. I'm tryin 2 find way 2 get float closer 2 gathering. Perhaps a gulf rescue could be done frm here. I tried 2 that w/katrina & oilspill.
