A poem I wrote for my girlfriend a few weeks ago To find myself overwhelmed By your love and your realm And you've held me so tight But you held me so right In our place with us there Lost in gazes and stares We did this, so we dared Under blankets, so bare Under skins that so feud stronger links that still brewed With our minds and our hearts That let us never part If they knew, if they knew All the things that we do Our relationship they'd kill? If they knew this was real If they knew how we feel Would we continue still With you sweet next to me Your touch like extasy Your eyes close as you rest My head lies upon your chest And I watch and I wonder Oh the things that I ponder Oh the future and the past How long can heaven last?
This reminds me alot of a poem I wrote awhile back, of my first true love. I do feel your attemps to capture your (oneness) but I feel lacks greater detail, still a nicely written expression, this was good, if I can find my poem, I'll repost it, as to let you see what I mean, and give you an opportunity to tell me where I too lack, if that be the case. Thanks, a good read. Devon Knight ~
