What's your favorite Haunted House experience? Is there one that you go to every year or often? I use to go to one called Nightmare on Pendleton. They did a SAW theme a few years back. It's in an old mortuary downtown Greenville. The sad thing is I always go through with my eyes closed. I open them to peek, then I close them again when something scary pops out.
I like to go to universal studios in hollywood around halloween time. they have a lot of scary mazes and haunted houses and shit. its pretty cool
I enjoyed abandoned Asylum and Hospital in Brandenburg, Germany. Also it have very interesting history, even Adolf Hitler was here in 1918. Wonderful, spooky atmosphere.
I've only been in this haunted house. I work here (below) some nights on my own (I'm in security)...It's not really the most welcoming place at 2am. It does take balls (and a torch) to walk around the place at night. I love walking past this sign - it always gives me a warm feeling inside. http://www.midlandsheritage.co.uk/h...towers-hospital-leicester-borough-asylum.html
I don't typically go to those...since my life is haunted by miscellaneous spirits. But I did go to one at Six Flags, I think? It was really good...I actually got scared a few times (not scared as in "oooo scary" but scared as in shocked)
I went to a haunted house put on by Alice Cooper when I was a kid. I've been hooked ever since, but there's never been one that could live up to Cooper's. he put millions of dollars into that thing.....blew my mind! For the last 5 or 6 years I've made it a tradition to drop acid before a haunted house every year. So much fuckin fun I love this time a year. They do something here called the "Danger Run." You start on one side of town and follow clues all over the city. The clues lead you to two haunted houses, where you check in your mileage. If you don't miss a turn all night then you get some kind of awesome prize. But no one ever gets the prize lol. Excellent for a booze cruise....
I lived in a house which was a bit haunted, for a while. There was a church attached to it. My sister and I still shared a bedroom at the time. Actually, see that large window on the right? That was our bedroom window. We'd refuse to sleep without the ceiling light on at night; always had the feeling that we were being watched. I'd refuse to go anywhere near the kitchen at night too, for whatever reason. During the day no problem. At night? No way! Both my sister and I could swear we'd hear people walking down the corridor at night too. I think the story goes nuns would live there, and more then a few people died in the house.
i dunno but the haunted houses at our theme park is kinda shitty.. with all the little kids running around and screaming.. just makes it not scary.. it'd probably be more scary if you were alone., or just with a couple people. and at a place that is actually/supposedly haunted.. like that abandoned psychiatric hospital in Whitby. gives me the creeps just thinking about it.. lol
They also have a haunted house here, inside of Waverly Hills Sanitorium. An old Tuberculosis hospital. The haunted house takes you through the tunnels they used to remove the dead bodies from the hospital. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waverly_Hills_Sanatorium#section_2
In Ohio there are several haunted prisons. http://www.hauntedx.com/ http://www.forgottenoh.com/Haunts/prisons.html Not really my kind of thing but I bet they are pretty good at giving people a scare or two.
