Okay, so after roughly six years of chipping with opiates, I've finally fucked up. How did I fuck up you may ask? By starting to shoot up. It began over summer, when I was still chipping, but hard; my friend getting some grams of 80's% #3 and #4 heroin online. Anyway, fast forward to the end of August and for the first time in my opiate career I was starting to use days in a row, on binges, and eventually, IV'ing. And now, maybe a bit less than a month later, I'm not only addicted to the dope, but I'm addicted to the spike too. Like that Television song, Guiding Light, never the rose, without the prick, and I woke up, and it's yesterday. I've been able to sustain a couple bag a day habit by working as a telemarketer (yes, it did start to be daily by the time I started doing that), and by getting people it and making my own prices that aren't unreasonable and those through which I pay less that $5 a bag down to free. My use has also fluctuated to 8 bags in a night of low quality dope and to 5 of just having too much fun. In these past three weeks or so, I've only been "sober" one night, and I still drank and smoke on that one... and took a tiny piece of sub that probably carried me to the brink of clean but I went out and copped anyway. So, as a former chipper, now addict of a lower level habit, I'm wondering what symptoms to expect if I go cold turkey next week, at which point it'll be trying to shake a month straight of use. Mad discomfort, chills/sweats, a serious depression/bad thoughts I know I'm going to get, and since I've not been able to take a decent shit and am backed up, will have diarrhea too. Should I expect to vomit too? And how many days should it last, 2? Of the serious physical symptoms... Last time after five days of constant use it lasted one day. I have 3mgs of suboxone which I plan to take when shit really hits the fan and I want to get some benzos to speed up time. Is there anything that helps lower the heart rate/pulse, because that really messes with me. And now I'll go back to nodding and soon sleep to wake up early enough to take a half-bag shot to keep from getting sick until I go out and cop some purple label in the evening. Woooo!!
Hey Bud, whats up? You got the right idea, especially if its a low level habit. Theres some other things you might want to add to your arsenal, and heres a good way to go about things...though its all REALLY up to YOU...but this can help a lot.... 1. Gabapentin can help BIG....they are super cheap, and plentiful. The day you want to quit..take it as soon as you wake up. It takes 2 hours to kick in, but its going to help wonders.. 2. Clonidine can help with keeping your Blood Pressure ok..which will reduce some side effects that you're eanting to avoid 3.Lopermide (Immonium AD)...ever wonder how anti diarrea medicine blocks you up? It's actually an opiate that doesnt cross the BBB!! Theres a controversy that taking the Lop wioth Zantac helps it cross the BBB..but..... MANY PEOPLE say that Lop really helps with the W/D 4. Benzos of course. The sub can help a lot if you only take it the first day clean...and then use the above after the sub loses its grip. If you you go to the hospital/dr and tell them you're trying to kick...they will likely prescribe you the CLonidine and Gabapentin. Best of luck to you..it sounds like you had a handle on your use, better to nip in the bud.
Hey. Don't I have to go to a doc to get gabapentin? (Oh, hospital) And loperamide and omeprazole will cross the BBB. But I might just let all that waste out, took a shit for the first time in a bunch of days this morning, felt like I had a sword in my stomach and like I was going to die. Had to do 2 flushes. I'm just gonna try to rough it out, I deserve the pain after being 3 weeks stupid. The problem is I'm gonna realize how awful everyone/everything is, and likely return to ths. Oh well...
sucks when you already know you're gonna fail, huh? but really, i've been on H for 9 months, and the DT's weren't puking, but they were alot of tossing and turning and the shits and the sweats... just plain uncomfortable. after 3 days it was better but i went back and got high again. that was in august and i've been basically gettin high since then, whether it be on h or 2 days clean then 5 days on suboxone trying to clean up. it took two days after the subs ran out for me to go out and get some h from a complete stranger on the streets. this drug has the worst grip on me. i cant stand it! the withdrawls are scary enough to not want to go thru them.
